Can't win them all. Let's get back on track tomorrow with that bum Blanton goin' for Oakland.

:gosox3:

We hit the crap out of the ball in the 4th inning, only to come up empty handed. Luck wasn't on our side today.

A good thing that came out of this game: Javier Vazquez.

He made one bad pitch to Cust. The pitch Murphy hit out was almost head high, it wasn't that bad. He also saved the bullpen, which is a good thing.

Let's hope Mark gives us a good start tomorrow. Maybe there's a good reason why Joe Blanton is 4-11...

Sucks to see crappy situational hitting rear its ugly head again. That said, it was really nice to see Javy bounce back with an excellent outing.

Alexei Ramirez tried a novel idea in the 9th inning. He moved towards the plate. Crede and the rest were sitting in their usual almost out of the box so they can extend their arms stance. You cant reach that low and away crap from there. I know they may miss that inner half pitch that they want to extend on, but with Street sitting on the 1st base side of the pitching rubber its never every coming.

Javy pitched well tonight.

The pitch to Murphy was terrible. Javy missed his spot by several feet, and we got burned because of it

Yet Crede got the hit and Alexei struck out. Go figure.

I really hope the fanfare doesn't get into Alexei's head. Great start by Javy, that's very encouraging.

It's been an awfully long time since we lost. Let's get in the win column again tomorrow.

Hard loss to swallow because it was due largely to bad luck. We hit the ball hard twice in that 4th with 1st and 2nd and 1st and 3rd, but all it leads to is a warning track flyout and double play, whereas their guy hits a fastball eye high over the wall. Just hate to lose a game due so much to bad luck, but even if we split this series we end up with an 8-2 homestand and that'd be fine. We just need to make sure we bounce back tomorrow.

Hurts to lose on a four-hitter by Javy.

Oh well. Hope he keeps his head up and realizes it's one of those things. Can't win 'em all.

Gotta come back and beat that hack they are pitching tomorrow.

The one thing that bothers me is I can think of at least 4 games in which our starter threw a complete game, and we still lost. In the big picture, that's a both baffling and depressing stat to think about with as few complete games as you see in this era of baseball.

Good point whitesoxfan.

As good as our record is, our losses seem so disheartening at times this year.

Crazy season.

We got beat at our own game Thursday night. Friday-Sat and Sun hopefully will be different

And the ninth was still full of drama, and we still had many chances to pull it out. I was convinced we were going to do it again. This team is starting to look pretty special. Even when they lose, lately it's not been without a ton of fight.

Javy was absolutely tremendous. About the only bad pitch he made was the one Cust hit out. The pitch hit out by Murphy was not a bad pitch. Elevated fastball and Murphy just swung real hard and hammered it.

I cant remember the last time I went through a game thread and didnt see "OMG, WE NEED TO BENCH ________ AND _______ NEEDS TO BE DFAed, AND THE SEASON IS OVER"

its nice to see "Tough one to lose, nice effort by the pitching."

Duchserereereerer was as good as advertised. he moved in and out, changed speeds on all of his pitches, and got out of trouble.
