The Democrat Thread

Featured Replies

uh oh. White House is getting a little snippy over this Obama thing:

Barney just bit a Reuters White House reporter.

This is all in good humor folks. But the story is true.

On a side note: Is there a way to buy stock in dog breeds? The moment Obama picks a dog for his daughters, that will be the most popular breed in the US.

People like that should not be allowed to give a point of view as they are so jaded it is sickening.

Likewise

They wont, I read one of his daughters has allergies so it precludes them from adopting any animal that is not some what hypoallergenic.

So its unlikely theyll just adopt a pet that may cause their daughter health problems. Certain breeds have less impact on allergies so theyd most likely pick one of those.

Just because she has allergies doesn't mean they can't get a shelter dog. Many top breeds are also left at shelters by asshole owners. Many terrier mixes are considered good dogs for allergy suffers. As well as several breeds of Poodles, Pinschers, and Spaniels. Sadly popular shelter dogs.

I'm sure it also depends on her allergy severity.

haha, I'm glad now we can talk about the hard hitting stuff, like what puppy Obama will get.

My mom has pretty bad dog allergies and we had shelter dogs (a karen terrier and a dachshund) growing up. She has bishon freses (or however you spell that) now. You just have to know what dogs to look for.

It's his job to write ridiculously biased articles. Moderate, pragmatic pundits wouldn't exactly bring in the cash.

As I've discussed on this board before (with lostfan and some others I think), I can't stand Lil Wayne's new album. But this little Obama spin off is pretty funny, and this is the only place I could think of to post this.

Did it just now, my bad.

Random thought. The Democratic nominee has won the popular vote in 4 of the last 5 Presidential elections. Why do I keep hearing we are a center-right country?

Then we should call it a 'center' country and get rid of the 'right' part of the equation.

Compared to Europe we are center right, most Democrats would be considered conservative there.
