August 4, 200817 yr I do not understand the posters who say that this team can make the playoffs, but cannot make a post season run. This is baseball, any team can beat any other team on any given night. Would you feel better if we had Jeff Weaver, Anthony Reyes and Jeff Suppan in our rotation? Because that team won a World Series less than 2 years ago.
August 4, 200817 yr QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Aug 4, 2008 -> 06:52 PM) Would you feel better if we had Jeff Weaver, Anthony Reyes and Jeff Suppan in our rotation? Because that team won a World Series less than 2 years ago. We would be unstoppable with those three.....
August 4, 200817 yr QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Aug 4, 2008 -> 05:00 PM) I'm taking a firm stance in my position: The Sox will or will not win the AL Central. This is the strong con-committal stance one can appreciate and I certainly applaud
August 4, 200817 yr QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 4, 2008 -> 03:59 PM) What kind of prediction is that? Strong-positive-non-commital-covering my bases
August 5, 200817 yr Author Twins up 1-0 in the first. They just throw Lamb into the 5th spot, and he delivers with 2 outs.
August 5, 200817 yr Twins will probably sweep this series, and then they go to KC. They will not lose in KC. My god all they do is crap tweener hits, im jealous

August 5, 200817 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 4, 2008 -> 11:38 PM) Wait, what? The Twins make a crucial error? 9-6 Mariners. This thread would be locked if the Twins lose right?
August 5, 200817 yr Author QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 5, 2008 -> 05:41 AM) They only play fundamental baseball in Minny. No one told them they had to do it on the road. Amazing what open air and grass can do. And not having air conditioning keeping the ball in the park?
August 5, 200817 yr Author QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 5, 2008 -> 05:41 AM) This thread would be locked if the Twins lose right? Hell yes, I hope it would. Go back and read my very first post...I said I hoped it was a short thread.
August 5, 200817 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 4, 2008 -> 11:43 PM) Hell yes, I hope it would. Go back and read my very first post...I said I hoped it was a short thread. We still need to win to keep it closed, and I sure hope it does.
