I'll be there tonight. Looking forward to it. Let's hope that Jose's stay on the DL helps him return to early season form. It will be HUGE.

 

Two huge keys tonight: Be patient with Dice-K as he walks lots of hitters, but does not give up many hits. And Jose has to be first pitch strike as the Red Sox won't be chasing pitches unless they are behind in the count. Tonight would be a nice night for Wise because Dice-K is not especially quick to home and lefties hit appreciably better against him than righties but there is probably no room for him to start. So you need Swish, Thome and Griffey in the lineup. Konerko has been hitting better, but he is not a better matchup tonight than the lefties.

 

So should be lineup tonight: OC (SS), AJ ©, Q (RF), Dye (RF), Thome (DH), Griffey (CF), Alexei (2b), Swish (1b), Uribe (3b).

I have a nice feeling about Jose-7 innings with 2 runs allowed.

 

Is it just me or does the Boston lineup look a whole lot less dangerous without Manny in it?

It's definitely not just you. They still have a very good lineup and Jason Bay is a very good player, but the entire dynamic of their lineup is different without Manny. Hopefully Jose has his good stuff tonight and is fresh after the DL time.

I have a front row seat tonight and a date. My big screen TV and my wife plus maybe the 1 year old grandaughter.

Will be watching as always....Ozzie said Coop was excited to see Jose go out and throw,

has a good feeling about tonight's start after the long layoff.

I think Griffey gets his 1st HR tonight.
