Damn, even though we got 2, I still think thats a waste of an inning. Stranding the bases loaded in a playoff game is never, ever good.

When's the last time Uribe actually had a clutch hit?

 

For someone batting .338 w/RISP, it is a bit mystifying how he does it.

Stone was saying some Tampa officials think Kazmir has shoulder damage.

Bases loaded, nobody out, and we got two. Not ideal, but acceptable.

Juan Ks. Good inninng but we coulda put up more.

 

We need a standard Buerhle inning here. Make quick work o' the side.

At least Kazmir is close to 40 pitches already. But with our luck he'll throw 7 next inning.

Uribe did okay, got a 2-1 count and looked fastball and got burnt. Fought off a few pitches and made Kazmir work.

 

Bottom line up 2 having 8 batters bat in the first inning is something that you take every single day of the week.

 

Not to mention Kazmir almost at 40 pitches.

 

In reality AJ had the crappiest hit ever, all those pitches to Juan were just gravy.

For the love of god Uribe, just keep that front foot either on the ground, or drive towards the pitcher. When your foot moves towards third you cant make contact with s***.

I love Juan and hate him lol, he did seem he was outgunned that whole ab. We only came away with 2 runs but could have easily been 0 and we worked up a high pitch count so good inning. Now we need our stopper to keep these guys scoreless.

Watching the Cubs/Dodgers last night, I was thinking the same thing and wishing we made a deal for Casey Blake. Not that he's great or anything, but I'd certainly rather have Blake and Uribe than Uribe and Fields for the playoffs. Oh well.

When Juan stays closed he is fine. Thats the problem though. He has been spinning out of control for a while. They rememdy it for a bit and then he seems to break out of it.
