Was listening to the Yankees radio broadcast at work today, holy cow do they suck. They make Ed farmer sound exciting.

Quality Yankees broadcasting went out with Tony Kubek, Phil Rizzuto and Mel Allen.

The TV guys are even worse. Michael Kay=The Biggest blowhard on the planet.

Michael Kay doesn't bother me but the way ESPN treats him, thinking he is some great broadcaster bothers me. Like no matter if you are good, bad, or in between, as long as you are a Yankees broadcaster, you are great. They need to keep him off Sports Reporters.

In the "who would have thunk it" category, Nick Swisher is down to .239 and falling fast.

OPS of .505 in the month of May.

Trust me, the Yankee coverage out by me is absurd. He has a radio show, a column, the Yankee broadcast, and all that airtime on ESPN. Their is too much of a bad thing.

Watching the Rays/Indians game right now and because of a clerical error by the Rays starting pitcher Andy Sonanstine will being hitting 3rd today, they've forfeited their DH.

Both Longoria and Zobrist were written on the lineup card as third baseman (Longoria was supposed to DH) so because of this Longoria will start the game on the bench and the pitcher will have to hit for the remainder of the game.

So in a 2009 American League game the day's starting pitcher will be hitting 3rd. Wacky.

Sox should sign Sonnanstine for offense cuz hits!!!!!!!!!!1!1!1!

Only in the National League: Jason Smith is 0-25 this year, and still is on a team.

Only on the White Sox: Brent Lillibridge.

How does Johnny Damon have 10 HRs this year? He is hitting a lot of bombs as well.

Jon Miller was just talking about Juan OOOOribe and how he was a utility player but is currently out for bereavement ( The way he pronounced bereavement, I honestly thought he was gonna say Burrito leave LOL)

Only on the White Sox: Brent Lillibridge.

I've never seen you turn on anyone as fast (or with disgust at that matter) as your boy (or old boy now) Lillibridge Alex. :o

The odd thing is that Sonnanstine sounded like a good hitting pitcher so they caught a lucky break.

1.198 OPS, 7 home runs at home, .869 OPS, 3 home runs on the road.

I guess the shaving cream pies were all Swisher and not Toby Hall last year, he seems to bring that fad to New York as well.

From last nights Mets-Dodgers game:

Errors by Gold Glove center fielder Carlos Beltran and fill-in first baseman Jeremy Reed in the 11th inning cost the Mets, who had the go-ahead run taken away on an appeal play after Ryan Church missed third base in the Los Angeles Dodgers' 3-2 victory.

Funny

Funny

Reed looks schocked every time he makes a play. He's hitting pretty good, right now. Not enough to make anyone miss him.

Eric Chavez is on the verge of requiring the spinal fusion surgery on his back that will effectively end his career.

Without looking...which is higher, Brent Lillibridge's OPS on the season or Nick Swisher's OPS in May?

In May, yes, his is lower than both quoted numbers. Not by much though.

Not enough to make anyone miss him.

Cept me. I will always love Jeremy Reed. My forever man crush.

He was traded for an important piece of the WS team, even if he was good to great I wouldn't miss him.
