April 14, 200916 yr Scott Podsednik hit a walk off homerun in the World Series. Out of respect, Fields had best offer that s*** up, and Pods had best take it.
April 14, 200916 yr Author QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 03:47 PM) Pods isn't going to be around more than a month or 2. Fields keeps the number. F*ck. That.
April 14, 200916 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 14, 2009 -> 03:48 PM) F*ck. That. Whenever you say something like that I automatically think that Dweezy from your avatar is yelling that. Quite hilarious

April 14, 200916 yr I'm going to get all Shaq up in here and recommend that Pods gets the number "pi" since he'll be able to run circles around the base path.
April 14, 200916 yr Pods can have it...if he's willing to meet Mr. Fields's price, whatever that may be.
April 14, 200916 yr Poor Pods. He couldn't get 20 while he was here cause Garland had it (I believe he was 20 in Milwaukee). Then he got let go last year and Quentin took 20. Now he can't even get his older number back cause of Fields. I think 24 is the way to go here...
April 14, 200916 yr When Josh Fields hits a walk off homer in a world series game he can wear it. Until then it rightfully belongs to Podsednik.

April 14, 200916 yr I know Pods isn't the same guy... but if he comes up, i hope im there when they play this song when they announce him to the plate: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEOJm9UIwnk My brothers and I got pumped when Pods came up to this song...... lame i know, but great memores!
April 14, 200916 yr You guys need to let the Pods World Series memories go. He did well for us in '05, and I appreciate it, but come on now. Josh IS #22. Why the f**k should he change it? I could see if Fields was #35 and Frank Thomas signed a deal with us. But Pods? Just stop it.
April 14, 200916 yr Under that circumstance, Fields would be giving up his number to a leadoff guy with a career .337 OBP I know thats not all that goes into it, but just looking at it that way would make it one of the more embarassing number-give-ups of all time.
April 14, 200916 yr Josh is hitting .318 with a .464 OBP and excellent defense at third. No reason to go changing anything when things are going this well for him.
April 14, 200916 yr http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/media/play...b_tp350&v=2 One of the most important homers in sox history. Its his number

April 14, 200916 yr Pods doesn't care what number he wears...now if who he goes home to at night should change, HE'D CARE.
