When Soxtalk goes down, celebrities die. That is all.

:notworthy :notworthy

Panic attacks out here in SoCal, can't read anything, type anything after demolishing the best team in bball on Wed

google searches trying to find news from somewhere what happened.

got so desperate searching for forums, ended up as this place called whitesoxinteractive  trying to quench the thirst, needless to say it's a whole different vibe and knowledge level, very unsatisfying

thanks for not going out of business.......;-)

My wife got tired of my ranting. lol

If my wife has a baby in 9 months, it's all your fault!

I did miss this place but I have to say I felt a lot better about myself without the likes of kyyle, kap,NSS etc. bringing my self confidence down a notch on a daily basis.

You need to hug a dodson today

After it was offline awhile I was wondering maybe it isn't and maybe I'm banned. I wasn't planning on posting much, but I do like to read. So now that it's back that's what I'll do. I know the folks that run this place have taken it a long way from its humble beginnings.

Just FYI, we are slowly testing things out to see how much of a load the site can handle. We had some features turned off to save load on the old server. Now with a new server and an upgrade we are hoping things are improved to the point where we can break out some of the bells and whistles again. If anyone notices anything funny PLEASE let us know ASAP! Thanks!

I cannot see why the ability to see which posters in a specific thread feature was taken off. By far the best feature soxtalk has ever had (it was around for my first couple years posting also). It didn't make the site lag for me... was it really lagging other people that bad?

When we have a few hundred posters on in a couple concentrated topics, it does. It was turned off again because of the trades and the volume it generated.

In actuality, it didn't lag the server bad at all. But we talked about it and decided that we would rather have the ability to cater to 400 people and not have the server lag rather then 200 and have that stuff on.

qwerty, I do appreciate your feedback on this. What do others think?

He said trades, though. I wasn't sure if something got past me.

Kap, I also liked the feature.
