Vokoun needs to let Kane out of the cab, because he just robbed him.

I'll take the assist on the Sharp goal. Come home, turn it on, and ten seconds later....

The Hawks should be blowing Florida away, Vokoun has been just awesome.

Huet is so f***ing bad up high. Ugh, this is going to kill the Hawks all season.

Its pretty bad when your hometown announcer is slamming your starter on opening day.

Hawks lose in OT. :(

Way to waste a point Huet. We get 50 shots in regulation, and lose.

Hurry back, Hossa.

wow, did we really out shoot them 55-24 and lose???? ouch!

I don't know a lot about hockey, but Huet didn't look good at all during that shoot out.

Between Huet and Campbell, the 2008 off-season could CRIPPLE this franchise for a very long time.

The Hawks could look like the cubs in a hurry with their desire to use free agency as a marketing tool.

Their cap is going to look real ugly.

Game 1.

Campbell digs-1

The tying goal was not Huet's fault, but he did look pretty bad in the shootout.

The too many men on the ice penalty killed what should have been a knockout blow. I am also very biased, but I hate having to watch Huet in goal all season. His weaknesses are known by every team in the league and they will be exploited.

f***in depressing going to class when it's 3-2 and see that we end up losing 4-3. Boo.

That first shootout goal was bushleague. High school goalies stop that crap.

Expect AT LEAST 1 a game. The horse is dead, beaten, pissed on, and thrown in the pond already, but it will continue.

As for today's game, Huet certainly wasn't good and was a part of the loss, but IMO the main reason it was lost due to either inablity to finish scoring chances or great goaltending by Vokoun (depending on if you are a glass half empty or half full type of person).

the third goal and the first shootout goal were extremely soft. I can easily blame Huet.

How good does Kane look? Holy s***

3-0 Hawks after 2

Nice to see Niemi get a shutout in his homeland :)

Steeger had one of the better saucer passes i've ever seen on Sharp's goal

Yeah, Huet does blow. I still don't see what Tallon or whomever asked for him, ever saw in him. At his very best, he's a middle of the pack goalie.

Sharp made a great play to settle that puck down as well.

Again, this team is LOADED with skill, the only thing that is going to hold them back is Huet.

Who knows maybe with a real good D, Niemi can be a very good goalie. He looked good 2day, made me much less nervous than every shot Huet faced on Friday.

Niemi looked great. It's good to see a goalie who can go down low and actually get up instead of just staying there.

Our best hope is that one of the backups can step to the forefront and push past Huet.
