Spy Game with Robert Redford and Brad Pitt is on AMC tonight. Easily one of my top 10 favorite movies. Such a high cool factor.

Yes, their pledge drive failed about 15 years ago.

Yeah, but that's ok. I only watch it when I am working nights, and then I don't mind if a good movie drags on a bit longer, since late night programming is usually so limited.

I watched a movie on AMC the other night, and there was a scene where someone swore and they dubbed "Jeepers Creepers!" over it. I was laughing about that for a while

The Baader Meinhof Complex kicked ass.

Watched Worlds Greatest Dad with Robin Williams. Nice twisted dark comedy. Nice to see Williams not doing movies like RV.

Interesting how they made Brad Pitt look and act so much like a young Redford in that movie.

British actors Cary Elwes, Dean Lennox Kelly, Peter Serafinowicz and Adam Campbell are in negotiations to portray the members of the Fab Four in "Yellow Submarine," a remake set up at Disney.

The original 1968 animated movie was based on the music by the Beatles and featured a storyline wherein a soldier called Old Fred meets up with the Beatles and travels in a yellow submersible to Pepperland. Among the group's encounters are the music-hating Blue Meanies.

As with his recently released "A Christmas Carol," Zemeckis is making the movie using 3D performance-capture technology. He also wrote the screenplay.

The Beatles tribute band Fab 4 will be motion-captured as the ensemble for the musical performance sequences though -- since actual Beatles music will be utilized (licensed from Sony/ATV and EMI-Capitol Records) -- they won't actually be performing the 16 songs used in the movie.

Kelly, who is currently on the BBC's "Robin Hood" series, is portraying John Lennon. Liverpool-born Serafinowicz ("Shaun of the Dead," "Couples Retreat") plays Paul McCartney.

Elwes, who worked with Zemeckis on "A Christmas Carol" and is in the upcoming "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn," will play George Harrison. Campbell will be Ringo Starr. His credits include "Epic Movie" and "Date Movie," and he will be seen on NBC's miniseries "Day One."

I finally went and saw Avatar last night in IMAX 3D and it was simply amazing. The visuals were outstanding and I thought the story was pretty good as well. It is definitely worth the money to see it in IMAX 3D.

Had "Funny People" from Netflix for about a week. Eh movie. Didn't expect Sandler to be so unlikable.

I've always found Sandler thoroughly unlikeable in basically everything.

Did you see Punch Drunk Love? I enjoyed that one.

No, didn't see that one. The only one where I could stand him was Wedding Singer. Even then, it was more tolerating than liking.

Then you must see PDL. Easily his best work.

There wasn't one likable character in that whole movie. What a waste.

I just got Netflix yesterday. The first movie should be here tomorrow "Never Cry Wolf" a movie from the early 80s based on a book by the same name that I read a couple of months ago. I think I'm gonna like Netflix I be able to see a lot more movies.

FlaSoxxJim confirms an utter lack of desire to see the sequel when it comes out 15 years too late.

Too late? I was thinking more like 100 years too soon...

Bill Murry will really look old by then, and Akroyd will be roughly the size of a small planetoid.

Saw Daybreakers last night. Not bad, not great. I thought it was kind of like From Dusk Til Dawn, except it's not funny. It gives 30 Days of a Night a run for its money.

Or you'll find it a strange and incredible bore.
