Feels like the entire season is on the line, but if Jenks can't be the closer anymore...it's pretty much history for us anyway.

 

The only hope is that the Twins have been equally worse in recent days, if not more abysmal.

The point about Jenks isn't just this game... The point is, when was the last time you saw him come out, and NOT allow at least one baserunner? Hell, he's gotten a couple saves this year where he's given up runs and squeeked out of it. He's not a dominant pitcher anymore, and he rarely, if ever, comes into the game, and doesn't allow a baserunner. Your closer shouldn't blow big games like this for you. He's got an ERA over four for f***'s sake.

our relievers just are not getting the job done. I hate when it feels like your team is never going to win another game.

Basically we have dropped out pants and inserted our head for 3 games here. This is something we used to do with the Twins. Kick the ball around, no hitting, and late inning struggles by the pen. Hopefully we keep on the plan to transform this team in the offseason.

What a swing of emotions over the course of four games...I was thinking we were just going to take off as a team like in 2003, but that was a pipedream to think this team could replicate the 2nd half of 2003 or that these Tigers are as vulnerable as those Royals were.

The worst part about this is it makes Detroit feel better.

 

They will probably go on a roll and this series will be looked as the one that f***ed our chances of a division title.
