We don't spend nearly enough on science/ science education. The scientific illiteracy in this country is staggering.

Along the lines of the 9/11 troothers, there's conspiracy theories about the British government planning the London train bombings and the Spanish ETA bombings.

Nostradamus predicted all the s*** we go through.

There was a this american life on this that was painful to listen to.

Holy s***, this Time Cube site is awesome. It's like pages and pages of non-sequiturs.

Because of my major I've read enough about Pearl Harbor to know we didn't know. We knew something was going to happen, but not specifically what and when, and we actually had the raw information before Dec. 7th but we didn't have the capability to decrypt and analyze it in time. That's because the government was squeamish about electronic spying. Not sure why, no other countries were at the time.

We didn't like foreign entanglements so much then. They had the chance of compromising some of our values.

Yeah that's about right actually. We were really idealistic and up on some high horse whereas European countries had been at war all the time and knew the purpose of spying. We didn't really get it together until about 1945.

that's where I heard of it. I liked the part where the interviewer told him to 'f*** off' or something like that.

I definitely believe we have cures for almost every form of cancer, as well as HIV/AIDS, the world relies on them too much to keep the population limits down to a controllable level.

That requires large-scale world-wide suppression of a lot of knowledge that would garner some company untold billions/ trillions of revenue. There would be an awful lot of researchers involved in generating those drugs that would all have to be kept quiet.

Also, if they haven't been through clinical trials, we have no idea if they're effective and safe.

A secret organization out of Detroit is out to make sure that I never own a car that makes it to 200K miles before it dies. Like clockwork, just as I approach that milestone my poor cars commit suicide.

It's the only logical explanation.

Detriot automakers have a bunch of patents for 100MPG cars or cars that run on tap water but are in cahoots with big oil to keep them away.

Well publicly anyway. Behind closed doors Roosevelt and Churchill were trying to figure out a way to get America into the war.

Are you saying you believe those?

I need clarification about this too.

Is this a thread about Conspiracies we believe to be true, or just anything that is out there in the ether?

I wouldn't doubt that for a second, actually.

I fully believe that Roswell was an alien crash, but not all UFOs are "extraterrestrial". Many are probably highly advanced US aircraft.

I dont fully believe this, but I think there is the possibility these "extraterrestrials" are actually the human race visiting from the future.

Like the drugs, though, it requires suppression of hundreds/ thousands of engineers to keep under wraps and not simply produce it on their own. It also seems like they'd have rushed those out ASAP last summer.

CERN admits black hole ripped in space by Large Hadron Collider

"I can confirm that, yes, the first stages of the experiment resulted in the appearance of a miniscule black hole," said the spokesperson to gathered reporters on Monday. "The black hole is being kept under quarantine and our scientists have been monitoring its progression," he explained.

You cant "quarantine" a blackhole. And this great point was made a while back, the type of collisions going on at LHC go on in our atmosphere EVERY DAY, but we cant monitor and study the results of the impacts. This is just a controlled environment.

That'd be pretty awesome if we actually could control one.

For the most part people are just posting ones they've heard of, not necessarily ones they believe in.

With Elvis and Jim Morrison as opening acts.

What about the Paul is Dead conspiracy? I don't think that one's been mentioned yet.

The Smiley Face Murders. Look it up.
