If Jose can beat Greinke, maybe Snell can beat Verlander???? Go Mariners!

This was a must win! Just when everyone writes him off he always somehow throws a a game like this to give us hope. . rather that hope is false or not, its too early to tell but a win is a win.

Go Mariners!

Add today's performance to my list of reasons why Jose Contreras is my favorite player.

He struck out because he wanted to. He will forgive you for this near-blasphemous statement though.

I hope he will let me have a chance to prove I was wrong

Jenks got by while throwing in the low to mid 90s.

He usually sucks when he can't throw 95 consistently.

He usually sucks when he can't throw Strike 1, then the batter knows heat's coming up right down the pipe.

Whats that we won? But i thought this losswas a done deal? Beckham, Rios and Quentin are the perfect complement to the old core, but the old timers (looking at you Count) are looking pretty impressive themselves. Let's keep it going, boys.

Wow, what the f***. Boy did I look like a jagoff and I couldn't be happier. Way to go Jose. And Rios, Quentin, and Beckham with the HR's (at least the ones I got to see). Was lucky enough to have an hour and a half lunch at a sports bar that had the game on.

You are a lucky guy. I had to use MLB gameday

Better yet it was paid for by the ole boss.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 02:37 PM)
Looking at the speed of his pitches...man that guy is filthy. 96 mph fast ball followed by a 74 mph slider.

He used to be able to slow his curve to 55 MPH with a massive break. He has video game stuff.

Nah, that slider still moves. His stuff is still great.

is seattle going to blow it again?

Two games out.

Well we got the game back from last nights loss.

And the Mariners actually help us out tonight!!

:headbang

Dang, I pulled an all nighter. SO I watch the first inning, then fall asleep and miss the WHOLE GAME

Every time it looks like Jose is finished he pulls out one of these gems.

Just back home.

Going into today I was 4-15 going to games and figured there was no chance to win that game. In the 19 games I have been to the Sox have scored more than 4 runs 3 times.

Real good game except for Dye and Ramirez.

Crow tasted good. The Teahan homer was cheap.

glad to see that Rios jacked one out

You can tell he was surprised it did. Usually that's just an XBH in Toronto's park. He's going to love it here. :)

I'd love to know what is going on in Contreras's head.

:notworthy

You could just see that, right?

Except it's animated and involves cats, or something.
