Traveling for Thanksgiving?

Featured Replies

I haven't traveled for Thanksgiving in a long time. Actually, the last time I did, we drove to North Carolina eight years ago. Long-ass drive with a 3 month old.

This year, we're going to Columbus the day after Thanksgiving for my daughter's Irish Dance competition. So, I'll test the 6-hour drive with three kids this time.

Atlantic City for three days after Thanksgiving Day.

About 3.5 miles to the in-laws.

My in-laws are traveling 3 blocks to our house for dinner.

Camping with the family in Ocala National Forest. :headbang :headbang

Disney World

You can still get the big turkey legs at the parks and feel liek you're not missing out entirely on the traditional holiday spread.

And there's only 1 50/50 chance that they are actually emu legs and not turkey legs.

Went there for spring break several years ago. Montreal is a good time.

St. Catherine's Street is, um, interesting.

Deerfield...again. Beats going to BFE (Hermiston), Oregon, though.

Moving to Tennessee

Are you really?

For the first time since coming to college, I'm actually leaving the state for Thanksgiving. Heading to Virginia to my brothers for his first Thanksgiving in his new house down in Blacksburg.

Just going home to Memphis.

I was wondering if that's what you meant when you responded in the College Football thread about the TN players getting arrested. Where in Tennessee?

FYI - There are no volcanoes in Tennessee.

Based on your signature...probably the same place you're at.

Very little of Mars there either. Won't stop me from working on it.

Awesome. I think you'll like it.

Staying right where I am. Which is nice. I've traveled enough on Thanksgiving to know its nice that all of the family is within a half hour drive.
