You would figure if 2 out of 5 have near career years, we would still have enough pitching to win the central. .

It's possible, but they'll have to bring in a catcher or two for spring training, even if it's just non-roster invitees.

 

I like the idea of Flowers playing everyday in Charlotte for at least a couple months. Get the ABs, work on his swing, and work on the defensive game.

Well he said splitting time with DH and AJ, so he would be hitting every day or nearly everyday. He just wouldn't be catching everyday

 

The only problem with that is we wouldn't have many open lineup spots for guys like Kotsay and Jones or even Vizquel, without pulling starters out of games on a weekly basis

 

I don't mind giving guys days off but you don't need to do it on a weekly basis
