You can. Call AT&T or Verizon and ask them to block it

You can go to your My VZW account and block numbers on there. Nice and easy.

Ya, they came up with solution a long time ago. It's called Google Chrome.

Nope.

Chrome lacks a real alternative to NoScript. NotScript and ScriptNo are garbage riding a gimped API...Google has no intention if allowing people to block them from tracking, their entire business relies on it. Other than that, I love Chrome...just can't trust the Internet without NoScript...even legit sites connect you to a scary number of third parties. Like one visit to chicagotribune.com connects you to about 12 other companies, and that's not even bad compared to others.

My overly annoying sister-in-law is a CHRONIC text mass forwarder. It's like mass e-mail forwarding, but with text messages. Dumb little pictures or quotes.

I use google voice for texting which allows you to block texts from users.

How is it perfect or accurate? Firefox doesn't crash any more than Chrome, and I use both personally and professionally, not to mention extensively.

I only use Firefox, or the shameful Internet Explorer, when I'm testing code. Firefox is such a memory hog.

It is, but so are all of them...if you compare it to Chrome, it's using just about the same amount of memory, only Chrome splits it into small chunks.

You'll get like Chrome.exe = 100 megs, Chrome Renderer = 150 megs, Chrome Worker = 75 megs, etc...which is nice, I love the split processing and I know FF plans on moving that direction...but when it comes to memory, they're all kinda meh.

That said, memory isn't at the premium it once was, especially with 64 bit processors/operating systems. I have 16 gigs of memory in my home computer, for example...so if a browser wants to use a few, I don't care.

Internet Explorer is bad because they did with it what Microsoft does with everything. Care about it, get a commanding lead with it, then sit on it and let it rot. See Windows Mobile for further reference. Microsoft had 98% of the smartphone market before Apple decided to reinvent said market...Google caught on fast, while Microsoft did what it always does...let their current crappy rot while telling everyone it's just as good as IOS/Android, and then finally come to grips with the fact that it sucks two years later...then scramble to catch up again.

Mine was crashing several times daily over the past couple months. That's when I finally made the switch to chrome.

You probably had some sort of corrupt data in your browser cache, or were running a buggy addon. I work with FF daily and I couldn't tell you the last time I suffered any sort of crash, from it, or any other browser for that matter...and I'm a person that commonly has upwards of 10 tabs running.

I use FF10.0.2 with Greasemonkey, NoScript, Adblock+, and MS .NET Framework addons on top of it...without a problem.

So.. I like my new iPad a lot! I wanted one since the first one came out but then held off and told myself i wouldn't get one until Apple releases an iPad with a proper retina display and voila my prayers have been answered. I will admit though, i already had a new Macbook Air and my use of this fancy new toy has been sort of relegated to the occasional game or reading books on the kindle app.

I agree with your statement about a proper screen. I had an iPad2 and the resolution was just garbage...I rarely used it. Now that I traded up to an iPad3, I use it extensively. Other than games, photo or video work, I rarely use my desktop anymore...that's how much it's changed my usage.

One of the nice things about Apple products is they retain value. When new iPhone models come out, you can usually sell your old one for the same price you'll pay for the new one with the contract...so if you were going to stay with your carrier anyway, it's a free upgrade. I just sold my iPad2 for 450$ on Amazon marketplace and bought the iPad3...so I got an iPad 3 for less than 200$.

When the iPhone 5 comes out, I'll sell my iPhone 4s for 250$. And someone will pay that.

Macbook Air=awesomeness.

Google created self driving car with legally blind driver.

I am concerned as to how self-driving cars will deal with snow. Perfect or rainy conditions are one thing. Snow is a whole other.

i dont imagine it would be any worse than how most people in chicago freak out with a half inch of snow on the expressway and drive 40 mph.
