How do I make safari remember my login and password for the 'getaway' website we use to log in to wifi at work?

My 4S used to do it for me, for some reason the 6 does not, safari does not prompt me to offer remembering credentials.

This is an interesting topic of conversation, and I'd agree to a point. However, when it comes to technology in the modern era, a lot of these devices aren't meant to last beyond a year or two at the most, especially for power users or gadget/tech lovers. The things we expect our devices to do today are things we never even thought of or expected just a year or two ago, and with that added functionality comes added overhead. The upgrade cycles come so fast that this effect your speaking of is much more apparent than it was in the past where upgrades were much slower to come.

Also, battery technology is lagging behind the rest of the industry, especially today. The answer is always the same, make a bigger battery, carry a spare battery, carry a battery "juicepack" (which is a phone case which doubles as a spare battery). The answer needs to be, "we need smaller batteries that last 5x as long", which of course is a tech fantasy at this point, but we need to get there. Also, it's important to keep in mind that these batteries are only meant to last a few years before the capacity they hold drops to less than 80%, and they also discharge faster over time, so the initial battery life you were once used too wouldn't exist on your device today whether you upgraded it to the latest OS or not.

I believe everything you said proves my premise. New OS on old hardware is rarely a good match. It is generally easier to extend the life of a device by upgrading hardware not software. Adding memory,

maybe a new drive, new battery, is a better path than software upgrades.

One thing that gets ignored about the iPhone 6 is how amazing the speaker is.

Give it a few more months (not sure when the due date is) because you'll start rocking out to disneysong pandora with your little one, haha. I'll be at work and all of a sudden I'll be singing...winnie the pooh bear winning the pooh in my head.

Surprised nobody talked about the new Nexus being released. Much steaper price then previous versions of Nexus.

Yeah, you know I think they had a lot of cover to increase prices considering the price of other phones. They are no longer new, and I don't think there is a need for them to.

It still annoys me they had to make it so big. A 5.2 inch version would be ideal. You get top end specs and don't have to worry about any bloatware.

I said this before. A phablet Nexus means a steeper price. The Note 4, for instance is $750 off-contract. I think the iPhone 6 Plus is around the same. So technically, it's $100 cheaper than its competition. However, even I didn't expect a $650 tag. I was thinking more around $500-550.

I'm unsure if I want one. First because it's $700 after taxes and second because it's so damn big. It's taller, wider, and thicker than the Note 4 and iPhone 6 Plus. I'd have to hold one in person to get a better judgment.

If I don't like it I might just go get a Moto X 2014 or stick with my Nexus 5 (works perfectly fine still).

I was going to hold off on the Nexus 9 until I saw the videos and pics that were released today. It's a really well built tablet that I think rivals the iPad in terms of build quality. It's slightly smaller and about the same in thickness. Pre-orders start tomorrow so I might have to nab one. $470 for a 32 GB isn't cheap though.

A lot of people complained that the Nexus line wasn't premium enough in previous years and that compromises were made. Well those people got their wish this year. These two devices are top of the line and flag-ship quality. However, it came at a price.

What I find interesting is that Google's doing a pre-order system this year. Maybe it'll finally make the device releases less hectic and crappy. Google's servers got bombarded during the two previous releases because the demand for the devices was much larger than they anticipated.

Moto X 2014.

If you're on Verizon, there's a Droid Turbo that's virtually the same phone, but with a QHD display and a 3900 maH battery (that'll last like 2-3 days).

If you get it unlocked or from T-Mobile, no. I had the 2013 Moto X unlocked (for AT&T and T-Mobile) and the T-Mobile one is 100% clean. It's pure Android with some Moto apps and enhancements. The AT&T one had some bloatware on there, but nothing you can't disable.

A 6.1 mm iPad.

Wow. That's impressive. Although I think we learned from bend-gate that super thin devices made of metal aren't the best idea. It should be a lot harder to bend a tablet unless you try to though. Granted, I'm sure someone will try it and it'll bend and people will freak out.

People shouldn't be bending phones or tablets with their hands, or sitting on their phones, tablets, laptops or desktop computers.

My 6+ is still perfect and I wear it in my pocket daily.

This story was and still is bulls*** blown out of proportion, just like when we first heard of the iPhone 5's bending because people sat on them, or decided to purposefully bend them with their hands as if that was some sort of legit test. Take better care of your s***, these devices, and computers in general, aren't the same devices we were using 10 years ago, so adapt and treat them as such.

The hell it is. It's a major issue. Especially since they were moving their warranty to not cover this either and it was $395 to fix via Apple without the warranty. At the very least, if it's going to bend, let customers know ahead of time and let them make the decision.

Keep believing your tinfoil hat anti-Apple circle jerk nonsense if it makes you feel better. Being that they've sold about 25 million of them now, I'm sure this would still be a story if it actually was the "major issue" you claim it is, but the fact that it's blown over in a matter of days should probably tell you something.

The Nexus line (at least, the phones) just isn't built for "average consumers" and this release seems to confirm that. Google thinks the Nexus 5 is still a plenty good phone and their priority is to get a phablet-sized reference device for developers. As far as the price, it is unlike any previous Nexus phone because it absolutely souped up in just about every possible spec. No cut corners to reduce cost.

Also, what a bummer with the iPad Mini update. I've got all kinds of Apple enthusiast friends pissed off that all they did was add TouchID (not even an upgrade to the A8x processor) and jacked up the price.
