I said it in the game thread, but Peavy was vintage. His cutter was moving sideways, his fastball had a tail, and his slider just was diving. That is the Jake Peavy we served up a pile of players and money for.

Peavy was a blast to watch tonight. Hopefully we see more of that.

It looks like Peavy has worked out his mechanical kinks. Let's hope he has fixed it forever.

Mark Kotsay is worthless as a starting player. Maybe Ozzie will realize this some day. And if he does have to start because of an injury, it won't be any higher than 7 in the lineup.

D-Wheezy had 153 at-bats for us last year. So, Kotsay's due for about a 110 more and then we'll be ready to cut the chord.

He's had a respectable career minus one year. If he's the tempermental type, as some have said, then maybe that explains how a trade could create such a disturbance in his game mid year.

Caught my first sox game of the year. Rios was great tonight. Beckham made a great play at second.
