Why would Ray Allen leave the Celtics, the team he's won a championship with and feels confortable with, to come to the Bulls? To play with Carlos Boozer, and Luol Deng? And do you really think that this team would compete with Cleveland, Miami or Boston? I don't think so.

Yes, because the Celts have just run over the Bulls the last few seasons. The Bulls didnt even belong on the same floor as them.....

So it's not the Bulls fault they came up empty here? I mean, yeah we're venting our frusterations, and I agree that you can't make anybody come here. But the Bulls are going absolutely nowhere anytime soon now, and regardless of how good of a shot they gave it, this has been a completely failure. And just sitting there and saying oh well isn't good enough.

How did they fail then? Did they make a mistake? Did they not trade to get max contracts? Everyone who loses here is a complete failure? The Heat and the Cavs if Bron goes there are the only front offices than deserve to keep their jobs?

But I'd be a little worried at Boozer's numbers this season in a contract year also. Last season he really struggled, and so many people in Utah wanted him out, albeit he only played 37 games.

Last year he played 78 games.

 

The dude is a legit low post scorer who unfortunately plays no defense, but next to Noah would be decent. We were all aiming high, but signing a 29 year old, 6-10 guy who put up 20/11 on 56% shooting wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

 

Those age 33/34 seasons would probably be rough, though.

We still have a 22 year old guard who can ascend to the levels of Wade sooner rather than later.

He's been a coach in the NBA for 20 years and is universally revered in coaching circles around the league. Not even close to VDN.

I actually think Thibbs will be a good head coach, but obviously nobody knows that for sure since he's basically just a longtime assistant up to this point, albeit a highly respected one.

rock i think you need to remember we are talking about the NBA. There's no real mystery who the best teams are. If you get a few stars, you're set for years. Look at the NBA's history. While other sports are moving more towards parity, the nba is staying the same. Why? Because there is only a handful of these stars, and they can affect the game they play more than any other sport.
