December 8, 201114 yr QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 04:51 PM) I get the feeling familiarity breeds contempt unless its an absolute stud like Rose. There really is no reason why Gibson cant improve massively and Boozer cant get back to his old self. What kinda massive leap is Taj Gibson, a 26-year old roleplayer, supposed to take? Boozer's days of 20/10 are more than likely over. He's older and as injury-prone as ever. The condensed season coming up all but guarantees he'll miss 15-20 games.
December 8, 201114 yr QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 05:05 PM) paul to the lake show for bynum and odom Really? Unless they figure out a way to get Howard that weakens them IMO.
December 8, 201114 yr QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 05:06 PM) Is that done? Woj is reporting it is done "The Hornets have started to inform teams that they're sending Chris Paul to the Lakers for Bynum and Odom, league sources tell Y! Sports."
December 8, 201114 yr QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 04:00 PM) Looks like the Knicks got a bargain on Tyson Chandler at 4 years and 58 million. Thrifty SOB's. That's Mark Buehrle money.
December 8, 201114 yr QUOTE (kev211 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 05:08 PM) Woj now saying its for odom and gasol Even worse for LA.
December 8, 201114 yr If they can get Dwight, its a great move. Otherwise I don't know how much better this truly makes the Lakers. Clearly they needed an upgrade at point but Gasol (outside of his soft playoff performance) is a damn good big.
December 8, 201114 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 05:10 PM) Even worse for LA. no, i think this is putting them in position to go for howard with bynum as the chip

Clearly they needed an upgrade at point but Gasol (outside of his soft playoff performance) is a damn good big. And good bigs are way harder to find than good PGs
December 8, 201114 yr QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 05:54 PM) We'd be shoe-ins for T-Mac and Grant Hill if that were the case. i meant it as how active kenny is....the bulls dont pull the trigger on anything
December 8, 201114 yr QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 05:03 PM) What kinda massive leap is Taj Gibson, a 26-year old roleplayer, supposed to take? Boozer's days of 20/10 are more than likely over. He's older and as injury-prone as ever. The condensed season coming up all but guarantees he'll miss 15-20 games. Gonna have to agree. Gibson's ceiling isn't that high. He'll just be a steady, plus defensive PF. Asik is the player who's improvement is going to shock a lot of people, imo. His ceiling is much higher than Gibson's.
December 8, 201114 yr Paul to the Lakers? Well there's your west champ. Howard is going to LA. We all know it. Hooray for the impact the new CBA has had on competitive balance.

Clearly they needed an upgrade at point but Gasol (outside of his soft playoff performance) is a damn good big. Wow, this is a huge leap of faith. They better get Dwight or they will be stuck with two backcourt players who play best with the ball in their hands.
December 8, 201114 yr QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 06:12 PM) no, i think this is putting them in position to go for howard with bynum as the chip this is the obvious move LA is thinking....hopefully it will backfire

December 8, 201114 yr Paul adds another 3 years of elite play to Kobe's career. Unlike Wade/LeBron, Kobe's actually good at moving without the ball and is a much better shooter than both. Edited December 8, 201114 yr by Jordan4life
December 8, 201114 yr QUOTE (sircaffey @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 05:16 PM) They'll have to pull rabbits from multiple hats. All bets are off after what the Heat concocted last summer.
December 8, 201114 yr If this is a 3 way deal like Yahoo is reporting...then the Hornets came out of this one in really good shape. Basically...CP3 for Odom, Scola, and Martin. That's 3 very good players for one superstar. I'd take that.
December 8, 201114 yr QUOTE (TheCut87 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 05:23 PM) at what point does derrick rose start thinking where the hell is my help? Patience
