10/3: The Final Game of 2010

Featured Replies

I hate when seasons end like this. So bittersweet. But alas, here I am enjoying White Sox baseball for one last time in 2010. Hopefully we keep this lead and make it a winner.

I can't believe AJ raised his avg to .270, what a come back indeed.

Lexi up to .283 after his start is pretty amazing as well.

Standing ovation for Konerko, and curtain call after being pulled.

I don't think I've ever been so happy to see Kotsay enter the game before.

Great job by the fans to give Paulie the reception he deserved when exiting the field.

I still hope he's back next year......but as he said on Thursday, no matter what happens he'll always be remembered as a White Sox player to me.

Thanks for everything Paulie.

...Paulie.

There have been four times I've felt this way.

When Maggs left, Frank left, Kong could have left, and Buehrle being shopped.

Paulie's been my hero since I've watched baseball, I can't stand to see him go.

Thanks to all the 2005 WS winners who are left and maybe be gone next year. Would also like to see Beckham get in there to PH. Flowers 1st hit !

They should have taken out kotsay in the middle of his at bat so that he could have also received a standing ovation. Damn shame.

Just watched Dayan bat against the sidewinder and it made me think what if baseball players could have a coach communicating to them through a headset in the helmet. After Dayan got down 0-2 and the pitcher pitched the next one outside I thought he'll go out there again and try to get Dayan to fish. And sure enough he did and Dayan swung and missed. You would think a coach could communicate the same stuff.

That was funny.

I teared up thinking that Paulie's last AB was sacrificed for Mark Kotsay. But Ozzie wanted him to leave with a hit.

Sale is sexy.

Yea I think he may become my favorite player . He's built just like me .

Gentlemen, I know this is offtopic but if Yankees and Rays end the season with the same record, who wins the division?

I think Hawk is breaking the law giving a description of other games.

He needs consent by Major League Baseball.

Fireable offense in my book.

Rays.

De Aza continues to hit well.

I think it was good to get him out before fans started to exit as well. He deserved the standing O and it wouldn't have been as strong with 50% of the crowd gone.

Come on Lilli break the slump kid...

Lillibridge the K machine.

Juan with a 3 hit day . 3 ribbies maybe he can get caught stealing so the Sox can end there season appropriately. Nope stole 2nd.

Watching this while scoreboard watching the AL East games... looks like the Rays have got it locked up... meaning Yanks @ Twinks.... I'm much happier with the Twinks getting the Yanks than the Rays. I think the Yankees could sweep them right out of it again!

People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.

Man what a sad day. Hornsby was so right.
