Nicely said, What i am hearing is the Dbacks and whitesox are very close on the money side of things. Konerko is truly thinking about this because He can spend three years at home with his wife and kids as they are in the growing age stage. Three years at home with your family around for about the same money (Dbacks offering a touch less) or three years on the road with your only team and a chance to win the division. Thats why this is taking another day.

I would imagine the Twins would have some good young players to make great offer, but also could be KC posturing for other teams.

I think it's more common than some may think. As far as PK, I thought it was pretty well known that his family was in AZ.

I'm just saying that a lot of players families don't live in the town they play, I know PK's doesn't, and it's not like a strange thing that they do it.

The fact that Dunn and Pierzynski both deferred money in order to try and get Konerko back, and Konerko still didn't resign, makes me think Konerko is being a big jerk.

I believe the only member of the 2010 White Sox to live in the Chicago area during the offseason was Jenks. Paulie lives in AZ, supposedly not more than a block or 2 away from JR's residence there. Playing in AZ would give him more family time. As his kids get to school age, they can't be coming to Chicago in April and May or September. Its understandable why he would take less money to play for the DBacks.
