Just saw "Singles" for the first time...GREAT soundtrack. And appearances by 3/5 of Pearl Jam, Chris Cornell and Kim Thayil, and Alice in Chains.

Anyone check out Odd Future Wolf's leaked version of Goblin?

Do you mean Tyler, the Creator? Yes, I'm listening to it now. Its pretty good.

Soundgarden's Summer tour = utter fail

Not one single show anywhere in the South/Southeast? But you can play Uncasville, CT????

A little late to the party, but "Wasting Light" is damn fine Foo.

Yeah. I'm still a fan of the 8 minute version of "Drown" from that soundtrack.

The surviving members of Pink Floyd — Roger Waters, David Gilmour, and Nick Mason — have sworn they will never reunite to tour again after breaking up in the mid-'80s, but at Roger Waters' show last night at London's O2 Arena (part of his current The Wall Live Tour), the three reunited for a rare on-stage collaboration, their third in as many decades. Watch fan-shot footage of them performing "Comfortably Numb" and "Outside the Wall" below.

The reunion was months in the making. Last summer, Waters and Gilmour, who had a falling out during the making of 1983's The Final Cut, buried the hatchet to perform at a benefit concert for the Hoping Foundation. (It was the first time they played together since 2005's Live 8 show in London, which was their first show in 24 years.) Gilmour promised to join Waters for one of his Wall shows if he participated in the charity show.

"How could I refuse such an offer?" Waters wrote on his Facebook page. Ten months later, Gilmour made good on his end of the bargain, which was made even sweeter with the addition of drummer Mason for a rendition of "Outside the Wall." (Pink Floyd keyboardist Rick Wright died in 2008.)

Despite Gilmour and Waters reunion, Gilmour says it was definitely a one-off. A post on his official site reads, "David is not repeating his special guest performance for a later occasion."

Rise Against is just a great, great, great live show. That's the 2nd time I've seen them (first time was Lollapalooza). That was my first time at the Aragon. Parking awful, venue fantastic. I am actually very surprised that I found street parking.

Vegan power! :headbang

The Aragon is far and away my favorite live venue (admittedly, I haven't been to many). I can imagine that Rise Against would be pretty damn good too, live.

Last night I saw Bob Seger at the Allstate Arena with my parents. All I have to say is the old man can still put on a great show!

Pearl Jam will be at Alpine Valley Labor Day weekend. Only time they'll be playing a show in the US for 2011. Joining them will be Queens of the Stone Age, The Strokes, and a host of other bands I have never heard of.

A concert where the pot users are grossly outnumbered by the Viagra users.

:D

For some reason I'm really digging Ray LaMontagne and Warren Zevon (The Wind, specifically) tonight. I must be in a contemplative mood.

I'll go out on a limb and guess you are more than just a casual fan?

I had to restart the CD a couple times because I thought it was skipping. I'm still not sure it wasn't.

I wouldn't say I'm a hardcore fan, but a little more than a casual.

Speaking of Goblin, your thoughts on the album?

The Loudness show at Reggie's last night was great!

Akira Takasaki is a guitar master and the band was having a lot of fun onstage.

Dirty Passion and Sister Sin were very good as well.

Pipe was way too "Alice In Chains" for my liking, and Hessler just sucked. The hot blonde singer wearing almost nothing was the only worthwhile thing about their set.

Silverchair going into Indefinite Hibernation. They were a cool band, "Tomorrow" was definitely a part of my high school playlist

I'd give the album a B-

Definitely a few standout tracks with a couple of duds thrown in.

I remember when "Freak" won the Q101 cage match every night for a long while. Still the only song of theirs I know. I'm surprised they were still around.

Dispatch was pretty sweet last night, hot as hell outside last night!

Hmph, so I'm driving to Chicago to see U2 at the spaceship on the lake, tickets that I've now had for about 19 months, and I just now learned that the opening act is Interpol.

I'm fairly happy with that.
