June 27, 201114 yr VMart hitting behind Cabrera is an awesome tandem. BTW, why did Detoilet wait until Sparky was dead and gone to retire his number?
June 28, 201114 yr Twins lose 15-0 to the Doyers.... yeah I think the train has just been de-railed Super 8 style....
June 28, 201114 yr QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 27, 2011 -> 02:54 PM) Indians called up Chisenhall. Dont they know they can't call up prospects when you have to get rid of someone else who blows?
June 28, 201114 yr QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 27, 2011 -> 02:54 PM) Indians called up Chisenhall. I'll be interested to see how he produces, as his AAA slash line doesn't inspire much confidence.
June 28, 201114 yr QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 28, 2011 -> 06:22 AM) Dont they know they can't call up prospects when you have to get rid of someone else who blows? That would be accurate if Choo hadn't have hurt himself.
June 28, 201114 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 28, 2011 -> 09:08 AM) That would be accurate if Choo hadn't have hurt himself. Wasn't the recall of Travis Buck the corresponding move to Choo's injury?
June 29, 201114 yr Entering Monday night's game in San Diego, 42 of the Royals' 78 games (54 percent) had been decided by two runs or fewer. They were 15-14 in one-run games, 3-10 in two-run games.
June 30, 201114 yr Phil Coke as a starter is over. 1-7, 4.82 ERA. Charlie Furbush is in the Tigers rotation, which will make Terry Boers very happy.
June 30, 201114 yr QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 12:35 PM) Phil Coke as a starter is over. 1-7, 4.82 ERA. Charlie Furbush is in the Tigers rotation, which will make Terry Boers very happy. It makes me sad!
July 1, 201114 yr QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 12:09 PM) Verlander cruising once again. I hate Valverde's bulls*** routine when he gets a save. What a f***ing clown.
July 1, 201114 yr QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 08:39 PM) I hate Valverde's bulls*** routine when he gets a save. What a f***ing clown. When he did it for Arizona vs the Cubs in the playoffs, I loved it. Not so much anymore.
July 1, 201114 yr QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 30, 2011 -> 09:36 PM) When he did it for Arizona vs the Cubs in the playoffs, I loved it. Not so much anymore. Reminds me of Kirby Puckett. I hated that unathletic, chubby lookin' ogar when we played the Twins. Against everybody else? I loved him.
July 2, 201114 yr Indians taking it to the Reds again. That would make it 4 in a row and sweeping them in The Battle of Ohio so far this season. Wilson with blown saves for the Giants in two consecutive games. This time against Magglio Ordonez in the 8th with two outs. Still struggling to keep the game tied going into the 9th. Edited July 2, 201114 yr by caulfield12
July 2, 201114 yr Even more of a bummer. Wilson has COMPLETELY lost it, literally and figuratively. On the verge of blowing yet ANOTHER save opportunity, this time with a 4-1 lead. Leaving the bases loaded and being pulled for the Affeldt Duck. Bases loaded error by Burriss, Giants completely imploding. This came after two bases loaded walks by Tigers' relievers with 2 outs in the top of the 9th to pad the lead to 4-1. Wow. Amazing ending. Minor miracle...bases loaded with 1 out and winning run at 2nd and they get a line-out DP ball off the bat of BOESCH. Edited July 2, 201114 yr by caulfield12
July 2, 201114 yr Some big-time cooler destruction. Giants' announcers declared that's the worst they've ever seen Wilson pitch. Just didn't have anything out there. Ironic, because he gets the victory after blowing 3 consecutive saves in 2 days.
July 2, 201114 yr Really, with Wilson it seems like every time I catch a Giants game in a save situation he is getting himself in trouble. *Edit* This year. Edited July 2, 201114 yr by Swingandalongonetoleft
July 2, 201114 yr Author QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jul 1, 2011 -> 10:47 PM) wilson went nuts in dugout. affeldt saved him. That was epic. Almost Zambrano awesome.
