5/23 Game thread Sox at Rangers

I am liking what I am seeing out of Beckham, even though he hasn't exactly been blistering the ball lately. He's getting on base and his confidence is rising, which is very important for him.

This game is OVA.

Yeah, that was too harsh, but he's costing himself some serious money right now.

I doubt it. He still has plenty of time to put it together. 3 of his 6 losses he gave up 3 runs or less. In 2 no decisions he gave up 2 earned runs or less.

The pitches that Hamilton and Cruz have hit, were absolute meatballs, AWFUL pitches.

On top of spaghetti,

All covered with cheese,

I lost my poor meatball,

When somebody sneezed.

It rolled off the table,

And on to the floor,

And then my poor meatball,

Rolled out of the door.

It rolled in the garden,

And under a bush,

And then my poor meatball,

Was nothing but mush.

The mush was as tasty

As tasty could be,

And then the next summer,

It grew into a tree.

The tree was all covered,

All covered with moss,

And on it grew meatballs,

And tomato sauce.

So if you eat spaghetti,

All covered with cheese,

Hold on to your meatball,

Whenever you sneeze.

Why the f*** did we give AJ a 2 year extension, what a joke

Offense needs to show up this road trip, or the season could be over. We face a lot of powerful offenses, and we're going to have to score more than a few runs to win most of the games.

The offense has been showing up. Ogando is a pretty nasty pitcher. We'll be ok.

Let's hope Ozzie uses a smart lineup the next two games (which means Lillibridge plays, Dunn sits). Tonight would be the perfect time to promote Viciedo as well.

Who should they have brought in?

Ogando is a great pitcher so far. Splits vs righties are unreal

People down here say he's filthy. I haven't watched much but tonight. He's got some bite vs. righties.

Agree Ogando is nasty

Its painful watching Dunn "hit" right now.

Damn Dunn

That is flat out embarassing. Dunn needs to do a Gil Meche on that contract, what an albatross.

People said Dunn is one of those guys that you have to watch his at-bats.

No, it's the opposite.

lol at this team having a chance to win the division, say hello to your new designated hitter, hitting a buck eighty nine. yeah that'll get it done, f***ing worthless

Not making excuses at all, and I get tired of the "tip your cap" excuse too.

But it's just one game...let's keep things in perspective now...we have some momentum going and losing a game to Texas with probably their best pitcher on the mound isn't cause to panic.

Flat out dead team 101 again 7th shutout whoppie doopie!

I think you need a therapist.

Agreed, it was a quick loss too

Good lord...the John Danks ZERO run support campaign continues. He's probably countin' the days til he's gone...

I hope Kenny is at least starting to develop a game plan for trades.

You can get a lot done during the season when contenders are desperate.

Poor Danks. He's on pace to lose 20.

So because Adam Dunn sucks, I need a therapist? Do you play a dumbass in real life, or just on message boards?

I am sure he is, Greg.

But let's try to keep some sense of perspective here.

Patience is a very important virtue for a GM.
