Need nine outs here.

Nothin' to it.

That was a nice example of Mr Big RBI, multimillionaire Adam Dunn not coming through with a big hit in the inning. His handful of walks this year have not led to many big innings. At some point he needs to knock in some runs.

Another example. He's been putrid.

Yeah you shouldn't be hoping that he gets walked so you can get to your 130 pound center fielder and 56 year old 3B.

Should be an all hands on deck relief effort today.

Yeah...I was kind of waiting for Hawk to say the house line for the Dunn walk.

yes. Day off tomorrow. Haven't been overworked in this serious.

Crain, thornton, Sale and Sergio should all be throttle up.

If we still win, I will tip my cap to the Sox.

Leaves the bags loaded was not good.

the thing that really sucks is that if we ever got into contention or the playoffs and he were up at the end of the game, all it would take is the opposition to bring in a lefty and we would be hopeless

Im not going to fault a player for taking a walk, if that's what is given to him then go ahead and take it. Sure a home run or big hit would be great, but I won't fault a hitter for not chasing pitches. It's a team sport still, other guys will have to pick up the RBI's after him.

Dunn is going to the plate in that situation looking to walk and not strikeout. He has no confidence, they should send him down for a few weeks to beat up on some AAA pitching so he can remember what solid contact feels like.

Pierre should just go away, but he is Ozzie's man crush. I swear he has pictures of ozzie and is using them as blackmail.

Great job by Gavin, after that ugly 2nd inning.

Hold this one for him, Sale.

Gavin still pitching with the heart of their order due up?

EDIT: Stupid gamecast slow to update

Gonzo makes me nervous. :gosox3:

Sure wish Sale didn't have to game Gonzo last night.

This should be interesting -- Sale vs. Gonzalez.

didn't he face him for the last out Tuesday night?

Great hitter. He'll adjust. Hopefully Sale has his best stuff.

Pierre's hitting .260. In Sox management eyes that's dandy.

The weakest, least impactful .260 you'll ever see.

So people are seriously complaining about a hitter taking a walk to load the bases with only 1 out in an inning? Dunn has been beyond awful this year but complaining about him taking a walk in that situation is absurd.

We'll see what each of them learned from last night.

Gonzalez learned to swing early.
