I miss the Peavy from the Padres that had a plus slider. This Peavy has no plus pitches, and seemingly a mediocre slider. Sox have no one to blame but themselves for a fatigued arm with him, as they really wore him out the last two weeks.

Funny, the teams in the AL seem to score more runs than the NL. Who would of thunk it.

Could you imagine if he wasn't pitching with intensity how bad he'd be?

They're just going to have to hope to get 5 or 6 innings out of Peavy and pray we can fight our way back into this one.

 

Maybe this is just his "dead arm" time and it will hopefully bounce back after the ASB.

Well there's the one bad inning from a Sox starter... Lets see if that will be it.

 

Of course Sox need to, ya know, respond at some point...

Paulino has dynamite stuff, we just can't help him out. Morel swinging at two pitches at his shoulders is not wise.

 

He's 6-27 with a 5.50 ERA and 1.56 WHIP lifetime. He wouldn't be the first awful pitcher to put our offense to sleep though. Hopefully that swing from Paulie is a good sign.

Hosmer seeming to take exception to Peavy's politicking for the 3rd strike with the home plate umpire.

 

Vizquel should have taken the out at 3rd and it would be 2 outs, 1st and 2nd.

 

Oh, well. You need to score at least one run anyway. Doubt it will end up 1-0 with the wind blowing out and 85 degrees.

I thought so too about going to 3rd since he was headed in that direction. Yay PK HR !

This season would really really suck if we didn't have Konerko.
