Carlos Quentin sprained AC joint in shoulder

Featured Replies

Hawk just gave the official update on Carlos's shoulder. He's officially listed day to day, with a "Sprained AC joint in his shoulder" - direct quote.

Day to day is bad enough with a guy that is your #2 homer and RBI guy bit it's a heckuva lot better than out for the rest of the season.

And Dayan his two dingers today...just sayin. I'm ready for the youth personally. Shoulda dealt Q at the deadline.

:notworthy Actually...yes. Good point.

Just heard he is out until at least Friday, that means he should go to the DL...........

Yes, they should just DL him and bring up Viciedo. They can't afford to play shorthanded for a week and then count on CQ being 100% as soon as he is able to play again. And if he doesn't heal up as soon as they think, that's even more days wasted with a short roster.

He absolutely should be DL'd. No reason to risk anything with him.

translation: give us Viciedo

It's amazing, they won't even give us Viciedo when CQ is hurt. It'll just be DeAza (who I love) and Pierre and Rios out there.

Good luck going .500 in this next stretch w/out CQ. Detroit will pull a Brewers and have it out of reach by Friday.

I love De Aza, but we need Dayan as well.

De Aza manning Q's spot, Dayan in Dunn's, Lillibridge in Beckham or Morel's, and Flowers in AJ's just looks a hell of a lot better.

LF - De Aza

CF - Rios

RF - Viciedo

3B - Lillibridge

SS - Ramirez

2B - Beckham

1B - Konerko

C - Flowers

DH - Pierre

That line up just feels better. Lilli, Flowers, and De Aza are all producing and I feel Dayan would too.

Carlos is probably out until Friday...but given that we have 2 offdays this week, that means he'll be missing what, 3 1/2 games, 2 of which we've already won.

MDGonzales Mark Gonzales

AJ and Q reported progress, AJ caught pen without discomfort in left wrist, Q improved range of motion in left shoulder

Latest update, looks like Quentin will miss entire Seattle series too....yet, in their all-knowing competence, the White Sox never DL'ed him in order to bring up Viciedo because "Ozzie already has 5 DH's."

Meanwhile, Dunn lost track of outs in an inning and "doesn't believe in scoreboard watching yet (until September)" when we're playing the Tigers...

Dunn saying he knew how many outs there were just was going to throw a scuffed ball out. Why would you do that when you're on defense? His explaination is yet another whiff.

Well, then we can just put Quentin on the DL and pick up Thome from the Twins. That solves that roster spot issue. Thome can play RF.

This is so f***ing annoying. Everyone except Ozzie and KW knew that Quentin wasnt going to be back on Friday. Viciedo should have been up this week and playing right field

They've gone from looking like geniuses in 2005 to two of the biggest buffoons in baseball.
