If nothing else, they're playing a lot of OF youth, so there's at least the possibility of playing time.

I am a fan of Notre Dame, and they just happen to have a baseball team. Notre Dame football is the only sport of theirs that I actively follow.

Notre Dame baseball has a history of success in the Big East. It's just really tough to make it to the college world series every year without major recruiting.
