2011-2012 NBA Season Thread

The absolute best part about that, if true, is how much it royally f***s the Nets who have done absolutely nothing right and did not deserve to become an instant contender.

Dwight Howard reportedly told the Magic during a meeting on Wednesday that he will opt-in for the final year of his contract, keeping him with the franchise through the 2012-13 season.

I'm actually rather happy for DBAHO and the NBA right now.

Meh so what. So he can lose in the 1st or 2nd round this year, then we have to hear this bulls*** for another year. What a douche

They still wound up with Vinny del Negro. That was about as epic a fail as you can get right there.

Having seen him actually coach, I'd say the Clippers topped that a few years later.

So Howard saying he is All In and opting in next season. DBAHO is fapping atm

Lol, nope. Just this year.

Three Magic players tell Y! Sports (2 to @SpearsNBAYahoo) and one to me that Dwight Howard did not tell them he was opting in for next year.

If it's reported by Chris Broussard, run the other way.

he must have, I had 3 in a row from him

edit: my bad, it was @kbergcbs, not Woj

I wonder if PJax would like to coach the Knicks, he's always wanted the job or are his coaching days def over, there are reports the Knicks will try to seek him out.

I'd love to see the chain reaction if Calipari goes to Knicks, Donovan goes to Kentucky, Grant or Shaka to Florida. Illinois better act fast.

Is there an active investigation on his program right now?

Interesting statistics about offensive/defensive efficiency so far this season:

Bulls lineup of Rose/Brewer/Deng/Boozer/Noah

Minutes Played: 284

Offensive Rating: 111.6 points per 100 possessions

Defensive Rating: 91.8 points per 100 possessions

Miami lineup of Chalmers/Wade/Lebron/Bosh/Anthony

Minutes Played: 389

Offensive Rating: 109.9 points per 100 possessions

Defensive Rating: 94.7 points per 100 possessions

I don't see any way in hell Phil unretires to fix that mess. He never was a cleanup guy, he was the guy that would take a very good team to the next level.

The Knicks are just a s***fest, I don't think Phil wants that stain on the end of his resume'

Lol

I don't think there is ever a time that Calipari is not being actively investigated

Knicks job won't open up until June. Highly doubt they have to worry.

D'Antoni spittin' fire.

Nevermind, fake. But awesome.

We had a culture that revolved around teamwork, integrity and passing the ball at least three times before blindly heaving from 40 feet. (The secret sauce? The secret sauce was Stevie Novak sinking 15.) Knicks basketball wasn't just about padding stats; awesome stats will not sustain a team very long.

I don't think I could take another year of this Howard stuff.

i just want the trade deadline to come and go with the bulls not making a move once again so i can get back to other things in my life haha

This is what I saw earlier, he must have deleted it and put it back up after confirmation

@wojyahoonba
