I've completely dismissed the "Lovie needs to be fired" sentiment until this game. But I think it seriously needs to be considered. The defense is old, ineffective. The offense is as bad and inconsistent as they've always been during Lovie's tenure. ST has somehow regressed. And in general, the team looks sloppy, unfocused, and lacking a sense of urgency. Stupid penalties. I could go on and on.

 

Lovie is the best thing the Bears have going for them. Everything that everyone consistently complains about Lovie have nothing to do with him. They are personnel moves which have to do with Angelo, and now Emery. It's clear though. The Bears need to get an offensive line, Hester needs to switch positions(I'd have him simply as a nickelback on defense), and they need to get younger on the defensive side of the ball.

I agree with you but it's not worth arguing in favor of Lovie anywhere.

The DB totally play-acted that into a call. There was equal pushing from both, which was minimal. The placement of Jeffery's hands with the acting of the DB is why it looked bad in real time.
