4/18/12 Game Thread - O's @ White Sox

Featured Replies

18 k's in 38 ab's, if he goes 2 for his next 2, he'll be batting .500 in striking out, that's quite hard to do.

Even for Adam Dunn.

A rally for once.

Hawk has a crush on Hazel May.

Hawk needs to pick a new MLB Network chick now that Hazel Mae is gone. Might I suggest Lauren Shehadi.

Dunn looked like a real hitter on that double. He went down and stroked it to left off a lefty.

I want to know ... how did he do that?

Show him the tape of that at bat over and over.

Also show Beckham tape of his last at bat.

Dunn got a hit off a LHP.

Maybe that will quiet all those pressuring Ventura to bench or PH for Dunn against LHP.

As for Morel, praying and miracles are needed.

I am a card carrying atheist, and I just bowed my head as I have witnessed a miracle.

That whole half inning was a lie I'm pretty sure.

Where did she go? The new Red Sox girl isn't so bad, as brunettes/redheads usually have a way of at least APPEARING to know more of what they're talking about than the Erin Andrews types.

Although I really liked Laura Okmin (sp.)?

Are we the worst 6-5 or 7-4 team in baseball history?

It sort of feels like that. Maybe the Padres a couple of seasons ago.

Hazel Mae went back to Toronto where she is from.

Peavy is on pace for one hell of a season.

He has faced 3 very good hitting lineups & faired very well against them.

GET HIM OUT OF THERE, PLEASE.

Okay...that's enough. 108 pitches.

8 K's, leaving with an un-Peavyesque 2.75 ERA after 3 starts.

By the way Royals, it would be nice if you beat the Tigers at least once in 3 games, especially at home.

Peavy's awesome.

He's looking at pitches really well, too. Although he's still hooking everything.

Peavy's awesome.

I think most people have always liked Peavy's attitude.

He does try and does appear to always care.

I'm a little surprised Peavy was available to just pick up in 2 of my 3 fantasy leagues.

With all the lousy pitchers in baseball, don't people realize he's a pretty good pitcher? You can always drop him when/if he gets hurt again.

Do you guys think Cooper runs the pitching staff completely?

Is it his call who to bring in, etc?

I would think so. Do most pitching coaches make all the calls as to who to bring in?

Baseball. Feeling good again tonight, think if only we'd managed to take one of the first two, we'd be sitting pretty at 7-4.

Always hoping against hope that Beckham, Rios, Dunn and Peavy can turn it around.

Then you get these LITTLE glimpses and it sucks you back into believing they could be competitive for most of the season, because of that starting pitching mostly.

Then tmrw, on another ledge again if they only take 1/4 at home against the O's.
