Why is Wrigley not there?

It reeks of "history."

Wrigley traffic would seem to qualify it too

edit: although the rule about not being able to go down to the lower level is pretty terrible.

When was the last time the reporter was at the Cell? 2003?

I don't mind being sandwiched between 8 and 10.

USCF is a good ballpark.

It's not old, run-down, or badly constructed.

It's not a top 25 park, but it's certainly not a bottom 10.

It truly is. One of the best things about the Cell right now is the abundance of outstanding food choices. But if you are stuck in the 500 level (and are not a season ticket holder), then you can't even access them, WTF? I assume they don't want too many people just going standing room around the 100 level, but I don't think the crowds are big enough to worry about that.

They were when they made that rule, though.

I think they should base the rule on expected attendance. They know their advance sales, and I'm sure they have some sort of research regarding walk-ups, so just revise the rule to say if the crowd reaches X attendance, the lower deck will be off-limits to non-ST upper deck patrons. Seems doable to me.

They didn't want the half-price crowd (you know exactly who I'm talking about) coming down to the 100 level, that's when a lot of fights were happening upstairs and people on the field, etc.

Whenever I bought upper deck tickets in past we always went to lower deck after an inning or two without problems... are they enforcing that now?

They've been enforcing it for years, you have to show the ticket before getting to the concourse.

Yeah they always made us show our ticket but didn't stop us in the past.

The Cell is one of the best kept secrets in baseball, and thats fine. Alot of people in Chicago dont even realize you can tailgate before a baseball game.

If its a season ticket holder ticket you can generally go downstairs.

I don't know i make it to 1-2 games a year and most of the times its cheap ass tickets... but never had a problem if i wait an inning or 2 before trying to go down.

I've been to Quallcom Stadium a few times and I don't see why it's bottom 10 :huh

didn't read the article, I'm guessing the author explains.

I'm biased of course, but I love Arrowhead Stadium. It's a wonderful place to watch a football game. It was just renovated not too long ago too. Kauffman Stadium next door had renovations as well. I've never been inside Kauffman, but I thought it looked cool on the outside.

I'm saying that some of these are older stadiums that while nice, could use an upgrade to a new facility.

Angel Stadium and Dodger Stadium are right there as well.

Soldier Field? There isn't a bad seat in the house.

I went to the Superdome last September when the Bears were there, I was surprised by how nice it was. The renovations forced to be done by Katrina actually got the place up to date and modern.

The inside of solidier field is pretty damn nice except for the lack of bathrooms. Their major error was putting so few seats in the stands.

It was physically impossible to put in enough seats, put in enough luxury boxes, maintain the old stadium facade, and make sure the seats had good sight lines. Simply couldn't do all of them.

I wonder when the last time they actually took in USCF was? I have been to a lot of stadiums and ballparks, and that is not even close to being one of the worst. The only reason it gets grief is because it is Sox park.
