Humber can't win at home. It's time for a change.

Not for a week or so is my guess. Maybe he takes over for Humber?

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Let Humber take Zach's spot, and give Q a few more starts.

He's shown too much to pull the plug right now.

Danks gets a rehab start first right? If Q has another good start and Humber/Floyd have bad ones first then they might have little choice but to stick one of them in the pen for a couple weeks.

If they keep pushing him, I don't think it'll be all that long before he has a couple bad games and everyone turns on him and wants him DFA'd. He's almost literally gone straight from A ball to the bigs and had a couple decent outings.

You know it. It's all about what have ytou done right today, or even this at bat or that pitch. Stewart IMO just doesn't have that overpowering stuff and when not sharp gives it up

Quintana doesn't have anything near overpowering stuff either, so if he has a couple bad outings, he'll be just as much of an enemy quite quickly.

1-0 count to Alexei Ramirez bottom of 9.

Farmer: Chris Snyder runs to the mound to talk to him, what did he say? Throw strikes?

lol

I haven't had to jump on anyone for a few weeks...because the team was winning, so the "Sky is falling fire everything" posts aren't cool.

And neither are hugely overstated posts like that one. Disliking Stewart and wanting him off the team is so wholly different than "the sky is falling fire everything."

Since when does Harrell throw 94-95 mph? Maybe we would have been better off with him over Humber!

Obligatory comment about how Cooper emphasizes movement over velocity.

Dayan with a walk! Yes!

Yes, but I thought Danks was getting two rehabs. Floyd was better but I don't know what Humber's issues are. Strange you go from perfect game pitcher to this so quickly

And I jumped on people who didn't just want him off the team but would rather have an open spot on the 40 man and DFA him, which is silly.

Damn the Cards had great chance to take the lead and couldn't get it done

Back to back walks by two guys who almost never walk. I love it.

I assume though it was just some s***ty pitching. 8 balls and only 3 strikes.

Hopefully that's the end of Stewart's run of nothing. Send him down next inning. Please.

Here's the opinion expressed. No need to banter on about it.

Send Stewart down. Call Axelrod or Bruney up for 2 weeks...

Hopefully Q has two more good starts. When danks comes back - you evaluate again and act accordingly.

Let's get 7 here. f*** it.

Quintana easily has the worst stuff on the roster but at least he produces :D

Danks is slated for 2 rehab outings the last I heard. This gives you a nice long look at the 3 guys going for 2 spots in the rotation.

Neither Humber nor Floyd have had good control of their fastball and they're both getting shelled when they pitch from the stretch. That might well be a pitch-tipping from the stretch issue.

no argument but location and movement are major pluses for a 89-91 MPH fastball don't ytou agree?

Let's see Flowers get behind one here.

Yeah, but that absolutely means if he has a start where he doesn't have pinpoint control he's going to give up an 8 spot in the first 2 innings.

Yes and I agree that that is correctable - if they can identify the issue

Tyler didn't look too good on a meaty fastball there.

Scott Hatteberg ladies and gentlemen

or rather he looks like the actor that played him
