June 13, 201213 yr The other way of looking at it is he can already be quite successful throwing only fastballs mixed in with a few sliders, then imagine how good he could be with a change-up or curveball (see Buehrle, Mark). June 19, 201213 yr I looked at his innings pitched: 2006- 5.1 2008- 55.0 2009- 50.1 2010- 38.2 2011- 102.0 2012- 84.0 (48.2 in AA, 35.1 in MLB) I can sort of see why he's getting the kid's gloves treatment. Also, pretty good story in the Trib on everybody's favorite lefty.

June 25, 201213 yr Quintana is so Buehrle it is crazy. Everytime I see him pitch he reminds me more and more of Mark. The only difference right now is Quintana actually pitches over mistakes. Mark had a tendency to float a few pitches after something bad happened
