Or Wilbon dislikes Cutler, but has a soft spot for D-Rose. And good job comparing his injury with knee injuries 20 years ago. I'm sure nothing in the medical profession has changed or improved since then.

Arenas happened 20 years ago :huh

Wow, I am surprised Kerr said this.

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bulls/post...ose-should-play

"I think the Bulls have handled it the right way," Kerr said on "The Carmen & Jurko Show" on ESPN 1000. "Err on the side of caution, tell him, 'Hey look, when you're ready, you come back.'

"But I wouldn't hesitate to go to him today and say, 'Here's the deal. We're not going to say anything publicly. But we need you. Kirk (Hinrich) is out. We need 25 minutes. We've seen you. We've cleared you two months ago. If you're not comfortable, then that's fine, and we won't mention one word. We'll continue to go the path we've gone. But we need you.'"

The criticism of Rose has escalated as he's watched Hinrich (calf) and Joakim Noah (plantar fasciitis) fight through injuries to put the Bulls up 3-1. Hinrich has been ruled out for Game 5 on Monday in Brooklyn. Kerr, who won three of his four titles with the Bulls and is a former Phoenix Suns general manager, will work Game 5 as a TNT analyst.

"And to me, I think Derrick owes it to his teammates at this stage," Kerr said. "And again, I've been Derrick's biggest supporter on this. I've been saying all along, up until two days ago, I've been saying, 'He should not play if he's not comfortable.'

"But if this is just about not being fully confident, you've got to go out there. If this is about, 'Hey, it doesn't feel right and I'm worried I can hurt it,' then no way should he play. But if this is just about, 'You know gosh, I'm just not quite confident yet.' I would appeal to him and say, 'Can you give us 20 minutes.' And if you're Derrick, you've been watching Noah and Hinrich play on one leg this whole series, at what point do you start to feel sort of self-conscious and guilty about what's unfolding?"

The national media is finally starting to see Rose like locals are. and it's not good for his image.

I'm much more inclined to agree with that than what Wilbon wrote.

Likewise

I agree with Kerr. You are telling me Rose cant back up Robinson tonight? Just some min off the bench?

Apparently it is too much to ask him to come back and not be a superstar, even though everyone knows he's coming back off an injury.

Kerr's last point is the most damning IMO. For the last few seasons I thought Rose was very Jordan-esque in his drive to win and be the greatest. Well, not anymore. He's appeasing his handlers/sponsors instead of helping his teammates win.

Apparently the Kings will stay in Sacramento. :(

I didn't post it in here, because I'm trying to ignore the Rose drama and just enjoy this hard-working Bulls team, but something like two days ago Reggie Rose talked about Derrick playing against the Heat in round 2. Anyway, he hasn't been ruled out for tonight yet - normally by now KC would have posted something to Twitter.

Chris Broussard believes that Jason Collins lives in sin and is a rebellion against God.

Chris Broussard is also a rebellion against journalism and hopefully this gets him fired.

He should absolutely be fired.

Thibs will not reveal his starters...

... suspicious.

Maybe there's an Arrested Development sponsorship/tie-in where Will Arnett will reveal Derrick Rose in uniform after spinning a large crate several times, while The Final Countdown is playing.

LOLNOPE

people just grasping at straws.

left this part out:

"When Kirk was hurt in the past, we played Marquis, Nate and Marco. Those are the guys we’re going to play."

@NickFriedell 4m

Derrick Rose will not make his return tonight. For all the conspiracy theorists out there who keep asking about it.

Steve call your source to confirm!

Why should he be fired for that? While I certainly do not agree with his beliefs at all, they are his beliefs. They are also the beliefs of millions of devout Christians throughout the world. He did not belittle Collins or say that he did not belong in the NBA, or really discriminate against him whatsoever. All he did was say that if you are living a homosexual lifestyle, that you are not a "true" Christian. Which according to many people's interpretation of the bible is correct.

Honestly, I would die from loss of semen.

Because as journalists, you're trained to not give your own opinion.

He did that. He shouldn't have.

He should go tell Magic that he is burning in hell, or Jordan for all the sex they've had outside of wedlock. But he won't because he's a pick-and-choose bigot.

And he's a terrible analyst anyway so this should just be the nail in the coffin.

He's not a journalist, as you say yourself, he's an analyst.

Then he's an analyst masquerading as a journalist with sources, articles, etc.

And regardless, he's terrible at his job.

If Skip Bayless made a watermelon and fried chicken joke about an African-American person, how long do you think it would take ESPN to suspend him? About 3 seconds?
