Christ, Guthrie might go 9 if we don't start hitting him.

A couple of the gamethread regulars really need to get laid. They'd probably complain about it, too.

Absolutely awful, he can't catch up to fastballs and misses offspeed pitches by a foot.

Three hangers down the middle and Viciedo looks clueless.

Johnson not PH for some reason. This is dumb.

Let's score one in the bottom of the 8th and close it out. Breaking ties in the bottom of the 8th is always disheartening - you are immediately putting the other team in a do or die situation.

Hawk is desperate. Also, good luck with Gordon getting Guthrie.

Gordon will get him?

Really?

Yep, it makes no sense to let Lopez bat there.

No complaints, but not helping my Sox fandom.

Let's use Brett Myers here, lol.

Dirks homers, 3-1 Angels in the 4th

Pretend it's the 8th inning!

Do NOT give Francouer too many fastballs out in the hitting zone, Matt.

Against the Royals, I expect this to still be a 7-4 Royals win in 11 innings.

It seems we had a chance to score and just can't get it done. That first inning set the tone for our offense. Super job by tghe pitching staff though

To this point they've been outstanding.

Seems the only way to score will be a walk-off homer today.

They should turn Beckham into a switch hitter wit the hopes he could unlearn some bad habits batting right.

Sox lineup right now is quite interesting:

- ADA

- Olmedo

- Wise

- Ramirez

- Rios

- AJ

- Viciedo

- Lopez

- Beckham

Or the Royals drop a ball when they have a runner thrown out by 20 feet at home plate

Unfortunately, that's probably in the head of every member of the Sox and they will whiff or hit pop ups. Singles and doubles, boys.

ADA taking his time out there, and he gets the double.

Could have a been a little early to pinch run for Konerko.

Not sure why I am surprised with Thornton out there in a tie game.

Well, maybe they can still escape from this inning. Maybe.
