Sigh.

So much for Big Game Jake again.

Javy Vazquez II

Only the 5th.

Ohhhhh now the Tigers broadcasters have some pep in their step hahahha

Just like AJ said in 05.....just gonna have to break their hearts again :)

Cabrera rounds the sacks pretty swiftly there...i dont think those ankles are as bad as they look.

:hawk:

CMON O

Well that's money they won't have to worry about next years, Cy so long ago.

Not only has he given up the lead, but he's going to burn through nearly 100 pitches through 5, meaning the bullpen will be taxed for Floyd tomorrow.

No, I said more recent performance was more telling than a sample size that happened five years ago. Until your last post your argument was "He sucks."

Also, oWAR would disagree with you that Dan Johnson is worse than Beckham and Viciedo by far. But you probably know better.

From when? 2006? Or AAA.

Thanks, Jake.

Aces win those games where your team gives you a 2-0 lead.

2nd or 3rd starters give up 3 and cough up the lead.

Tank solo...

or that he plants the ball in the seats

Ok if you are going to throw everything on the outter half to Cabrera you better miss away. I could have crushed that pitch. May want to throw inside at least once. he just missed the same pitch in that last at-bat.

A decent inning with the bat may help as Jake is good for maybe one more.

Jake is one of the most overrated pitchers of our generation.

Perpetually injured, and he's never won a big game in his life.

This was THE game we stepped on their necks and crushed them.

Now, with a who knows what they'll get out of Gavin Floyd versus Scherzer, and the probability that Verlander will show up on Thursday ready to pitch the game of his life, we've just injected life back into them.

What pisses me off most about both of those is that he's getting strikes called several inches off that outside corner and, on both of those pitches, threw them at the middle of the plate and they drifted back inside into the wheelhouses of both Jackson and Cabrera. Absolutely no reason to be going inside.

Oh well, let's get 'em back!

Just to be clear, if a pitcher doesn't get Cabrera out 4 times per game he's an overrated choke artist?

The other 4.2 innings going to be rained out?

You're right. This game is ova. Its the 5th inning down 1, the Sox with no chance.

Nope Peavy is just a joke artist. He's not over rated in that category at all.

Overreact much? hahahahha

Its the 5th freaking inning

Benoit & Valverde have yet to pitch on this road trip which will be 6 games......

Not worried yet.

No. Pitchers who bomb out against a team's biggest rivals 3 times in a row + have a 10+ ERA in the playoffs and lose critical games at the end of the season (for the Padres) are choke artists.

Lol. Its the beginning of the end.
