Survival missions are awesome in GTA Online. They're fun, you get a s*** load of rep (or whatever they call XP) and if you're with good people you can make a bunch of money. I've made like 50 or 60k just doing this tonight.

My buddies and I did the "From Above" mission, or whatever it's called. It's a Martin mission. Holy f***, we spent over an hour and a half retrying it.

 

Our strategy was to break in to the air force base and steal 3 fighter jets, which we used to just bombard the mansion with missiles, then we parachuted in and got the picture of the target. We tried this mission at least 13 or 14 times mostly because we would die getting the fighter jets, but then also because we would crash the fighter jets while shooting missiles, and then a few times we would die at the hand of the guards at the mansion while parachuting down. It was a mess, and only worth $5000. I suggest never even attempting that mission, at least not on HARD. Maybe on EASY it's okay.

 

 

The mission where you break in to the air force base and get the helicopter was kind of cool considering we received $25K for doing it. That one took us at least 7 or 8 tries, but not as long of a mission.

My group still has difficulty figuring out how the hell to start missions. Do you have to bum around for a while before they're available? Right now all we have available are the games - races, team deathmatch, etc. I think i've done one or two car pickups. But nothing like what you are describing.

You call your contacts on your phone. I feel like this was never really explained, but that's what you do. Call up Simeon, Gerald, Ron, Lester, Martin, or whoever else you may have available. Once it rings it will say "REQUEST JOB", and then select that. About 5 seconds later they will send you a text message with the job.

 

Those are the real missions for online, not that stupid deathmatch s*** or skydiving or races. Those are mini-games.

Mother f***ing Watchdogs got delayed. It was a month away from being released, now it has been delayed until AT LEAST April.

 

Cool, cancelling that pre-order....

I wouldn't really be too bummed out about this if I was planning on getting a PS4 at launch, but instead, I was going to wait until June maybe to get one. Well now that the game may come out in April, it is going to make me either buy a PS4 sooner than I wanted to, or not get Watchdogs on release day and wait a few months to get in on PS4. Faaaack.

I pre-ordered the PS3 version of the game, which was to be released in a month. I went with the PS3 version because I was not planning on getting a PS4 until my birthday next June. I find league of legends to be the better game.

although gotta admit, being in S5 is worse than being in bronze. These people don't give a s*** since they can't get demoted, so it's a troll's paradise.

that's kinda why I feel like making a 5v5 team and ranking up that way would solve a lot of problems. yeah people will still have bad games, but you know what you're dealing with and have the teamwork side of things already figured out. but I maaaay be putting too much thought into this.

Yeah, that's where I stand on this. I was excited for Watch Dogs, but it's coming out too near to Assassin's Creed IV. I can now enjoy AC and not feel like I'm missing out on Watch Dogs or vice versa. Plus it will give me more of a chance to play that South Park game that looks exactly like the show.

I tried it last night and finally got some "missions," like stealing meth or destroying evidence. I still don't have any big heists available yet, but we're all in the 6-8 level range. Maybe we have to be higher.

 

Rockstar makes great games, but their interface, mixed with the explanation for the interface, is just horrible.

You will need to be a higher rank, but also the Heists havent even been released yet. They are working on adding Heists, drug dealing, and casinos. All of this will be free content.
