Two of the top pitching prospects in the majors look like total garbage tonight in Bauer and Teheran. Should be interesting seeing Jose Fernandez go for Miami tomorrow.

WOW BJ leads off the 9th with a tying homer & after an out Justin steps up & hits the walkoff.

Pretty cool to watch.....especially against MarmLOL

Jon Garland - 6 innings , 2 runs vs Padres

Not a typo?

My goodness good for him.

Figured he was on a minor league contract somewhere.

walked the first 4 batters of the game.

Yea Teheran was coming off a very hot spring too.

Tough start.

Yea other than the walks I thought he looked fine. 2 hits in 5 innings....1 being a 2 run bomb to Kelly Johnson.

Def has the ability to escape trouble, which you look for in top prospects.

RA Dickey gave up a 5-spot in the first inning...uh oh.

Strausburg, Verlander, and Price got whipped today.

A lot of the big name pitchers didn't have the best of games.

And honestly, Sale wasn't exactly sharp today either.

Those 3 plus Dickey, Hamels, and Cain. Even Sale/Verlander were merely avg today, would of thought today would of been all about pitching.

Yu's off to a bad start too.

Ditto for Weaver

Weaver coming off in the 6th after landing awkwardly on his left arm, holding elbow.

EDIT: X-Rays negative, strained left elbow.

In 76 appearances last year, Fernando Rodney allowed an ER in 4 appearances and 5 ER all year.

In 2 appearances this year, Fernando Rodney has allowed an ER in 2 appearances, and 3 ER all year.

wow, the umps totally bent over the Rays on the final called strike to end it 5-4 vs Texas. Would've put runners on 1st and 2nd for Longoria.

I cant stand Hawk but if he was calling for the Rays, he would no doubt be suspended for a game or two after that call.

That may have been one of the worst K calls ever. Would loved to hear his reasoning when Maddon was arguing.

Cleveland, cheer Hafner, boo Thome. Makes sense.

Just watched the replay. How does that get called a strike? MLB needs to sanction that ump if they want the umps to continue to have any credibility with the teams.

If people from Cleveland were smart, they wouldn't live in Cleveland.

Per Rosenthal, Jered Weaver out 4-6 weeks with a broken left elbow

Ouch. That s*** hurts.

It's a ball, but that call barely gets attention if Pierzynski receives it correctly. Pierzynski absolutely turned that into a ball and made it look awful. Perception is reality, and catchers can help or hurt themselves when receiving pitches. Pierzynski gave up on it, which is enough to make it a ball. Even had that caught the zone, you still should ball it. It's shocking that Pierzynski would give up on a curve ball that could possibly end the game and didn't miss by THAT much.

From a Sox POV, I'll take 6 weeks.
