Glad you can review who a f***ing foul is on with 15 minutes left but not an out of bounds with under a minute

Dj had a terrible game. If hes average they win

Had some wide open looks that he's been hitting of late.

Looks like game. Not happy with how this was decided.

f*** you refs for stealing our chance to win the game. I honestly have no idea how anyone defends college officials. Try f***ing suck.

Shane Larkin, youre so Sweet!

bad call there but Kadji got hammered atleast 3 times while shooting the ball and got nothing from the refs.

Nothing I hate more than controversial calls dictating a game as well as games that end up getting remembered for that call instead of other moments.

Feel bad that this group of seniors played so well and got nothing to show for it. Miami made some great plays down the stretch but I don't feel like the final score is indicative of who played best.

On the bright side, Groce outcoached Larranaga by a ton. That's a huge plus going forward, but I'm worried that we won't have the same kind of talent going forward either. Hope he can recruit, too!

I think he can easily get the talent level back to the level of this squad, but Brandon Paul's ability to either single-handedly win a game for his team or lose a game might not be easily replaced. Groce did coach well tonight, as Larranaga made some terrible decisions during this game.

Yeah, when I say talent I really basically just mean Brandon Paul. There were some major negatives of having him as the main option, but the positives will be very hard to replace.

Biggest issue, in my opinion, is that you're losing 3 players who spread the court very well and bringing in a lot of guys more known for their mid-range game. Not quite sure where the perimeter scoring will come from them the next few years.

Agreed. Might have a new identity come next year. Hope I don't have to watch 40 games of Abrams chucking threes.

Illini came to play, I can't be too upset, it's nice to have fun in the NCAA tourney again. If DJ could have hit a couple threes, that game could have been won, but Miami is a damn good team and Illinois frustrated the hell out of them.

Last year this same roster plus an NBA center finished under .500, funny what a difference a year can make.

It'll be nice having guys with more game. And remember DJ was thought of that way too and he ended up being a 3 point specialist.

Next year might be rough but i think the future is bright.

For all the threes they took DJ and Paul never shot it well from 3. Illinois won't be good next year but Groce will recruit much better than Weber and Hill and Nunn will shoot well from 3 eventually.

I grow tired of Illini getting short end of calls in NCAA tourney games.

And they will be damn well coached.

The 2001 Arizona & 2006 Washington games still annoy me, but its hard to complain after the breaks Illinois got in the 05 Arizona game.

Illinois once got screwed so bad that they had to stop letting teams play homecourt tourney games. Here's to hoping this screwjob also changes the rules.

+1

Groce all class in the press conference. Not letting any player comment on the bad call. Smart move. Keep it positive focus on the seniors.
