There was no reason to pinch run Greene unless you planned to run with him. He only went on the last pitch of Alexei's PA. SMH.

Time to show your starter stuff Hector

QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 05:19 PM)
We've had one extra basehit all day and we have 6 hits on the day, 2 of them belonging to the guy we pinch ran for.

So...we had some benefit in having Paul Konerko on first base? It seems like the theory here is we never were going to score a run there and we were just going to wait until Rios-PK came to bat again. You can't manage like that.

This is easily one of the worst games Robin's had as a manager.

Just a matter of time before Sox blow it against a weakass Twins team.

Neither the manager or bench coach seem to have great in game managing skill.

I mentioned this in the Viciedo thread, but it's crazy how poorly this bench is constructed with both Danks and Tekotte on the roster now. The Sox should be able to avoid LHP/lefty hitter, RHP/righty hitter match-ups late in a game, but they can't.

Thank you

If I was Hector, I would be throwing screwballs on this bunt.

Quality baseball game.

Well, either way. 1 out. Nice.

If you have a guy on second with one out and Konerko is on second, then I understand. Pinch run for him. But the probability of us scoring that inning with a man on first and one out is not very high. On average, the run expectancy in that case is about .6 runs. With how we have been hiting, it's much lower.

And watch Escobar kill us here.

Come on CB.....totally squeezing Hector here. Not the time for this s***!

EE has Sox Killer all over him

Yeah, I hope we're seeking somebody outside of the org. How did this team become lefty heavy?

lol

There it is

Wow come on Alexei. You gotta make a better throw. And horrible awareness by Keppinger. Fitting...

Lol. This team, you can't help but laugh..

Alright, so, who's going to tie this one up in the bottom half?

Yep, good thing we have Keppinger over at first base now. Ventura is just killing us.

I'm surprised Alexei didn't go to 3rd, honestly.

AR just a piss pour effort. Why would anyone go pay to see this.

Well thats just rich right there. Taking out Konerko pays off......for the twins.

Alexei could have gotten Doumit out at third as well.
