How good you are has nothing to do with what kind of leader you are.

Not a lot of bench player leaders that aren't 10+ year vets. Which Gordon may be someday but it won't be for the Sox like Hawk wants.

Not really. I don't think it is any coincidence that most managers weren't super star players. They were usually mediocre to awful players.

 

Chris Nelson traded to Yanks.

If Beckham becomes the defacto leader of the Sox like Hawk wants, Katy bar the door because Sox at that point would be 100 loss team.
