Is there a Blackhawk message board? I wanna read the meltdown. Hawks playing horribly in 2nd period.

Looking real bad.

Shutout by the Cubs at home YYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

Maybe the worst game of the year. That is saying domething.

Maybe we should have scratched a couple runs across, but we just got beat by a really good pitcher tonight. Nothing to hang our heads about. As Hawk would say, this is one of the 50 you were always going to lose.

I disagree, Jake. If you are going to come out and play zombie-like by giving them a first-inning run, you are contributing to your own demise. In some ways it's not just one of the 50 you are going to lose when you put it on a platter for them in the first inning.

Phegley triple and home run tonight.

plus he threw out a runner.

What's the harm?

One of the worst games I have ever attended.

Yikes... you paid all that money. Should've went to tomorrow's game instead.

I have been to worse, it happens.

What's all the AJ lovefest?

Who thought it would be a good idea for Flowers to play tonight? Hell, Viciedo against a righty with a 97 mph fastball and a splitter probably should have resulted in Wise starting. Oh well, need to win tomorrow's game.

I've been to plenty of bad games, but watching your team suck balls on a cold night is never fun. Especially when you're playing the Cubs and your wife is a Cubs fan.

Heads up to everybody- Cub v. Sock post-game shows are typically something to behold and probably shouldn't be missed- especially if the Cub wins with a lopsided score.

Positives of the day:

Gillaspie improved his BA (1-3)

Viciedo picked up a beautiful assist

Omo threw two scoreless

Attendance topped 30k for maybe the last time this season

Quintana/Flowers/Cooper have to find a way to get Quintana more effective the 3rd time thru the lineup. Definitely been a distubing trend with him so far this season.

I was at the worst game in Sox history. Vs the Twins. 20 to 1. I remember Betemit making about ten errors.

Didn't Colon or Garcia start that one?

It was fairly early in the season, April or May?

Just looked uo the box score. Fatolo started. 8 runs, only one error. Betemit with two errors, but his defense was worse than that. Someone named Gobble pitched for us. Who?

Edit: oh Jimmy Gobble of Royals fame. No recollection of him being with the Sox.

That is not what he said

yeah his post was confusing to me. it seems he just wants to argue, and is seeing what he wants to start an argument?

Unless they play meaningful games against the Tigers in the 2nd half of the season, you're probably correct.

I'd say no way they draw 30000 for a game the rest of the season unless it's in the playoffs. If they were between 10 and 15 over .500 and the kids are still out of school, maybe for a Friday or Saturday night game. If they are a team with this kind of record, no way. This Cub game proves that. 10,000 Cub fans and 30,000 total? Wow. We have pretty much a loyal fan base of about 20,000 on a given night, right??

Didn't realize it was his first career shutout.

Oh, well. Tip your cap, haha. Even Gillapsie used that quote in his post-game interview.

21,678 is our average after Monday night's game.
