A really good pitcher can pitch over those mistakes against a team like the Mariners.

Don't forget, the return of Beckham will solve all the defensive issues on the team. Only took 2 innings for an unearned run.

So Alejandro's covering all the territory of what not to do as the lead-off hitter (except for Ricky Henderson or Mike Trout).

Yeah, yeah, he's terrible against LHP, we know that. Up to Hahn. Or playing Rios/Wells in CF, which isn't a good option, either.

I feel bad for Stone for having to constantly agree with Hawk's delusions.

With the way Keppinger has been hitting of late, I wouldn't mind him getting a start in LF every once in a wild. I remember when he was signed it was deemed his best position.

 

After losing 3 straight after losing 3 straight to the Cubs... This would be switching it up against a LHP.

Why not just DH Keppinger? I have never seen him play LF, but I'm going to guess that Tank is a better defensive LF if you factor in his arm. And I realize that Viciedo isn't very good out there either. Just can't imagine Keppinger would be though.

Keppinger in the OF is definitely NOT a good idea...

 

DH against LHP, okay. But then Gillaspie would have to be a better option against LHP than Dunn (which is going to be an argument in the coming weeks).

Danks' best pitch is the change-up, but when the speed differential's only 7-8 MPH, the margin of error is razor thin.

The concern with Danks and this style is his command has never been great. He was effectively wild with his fastball up in the zone when he was on.
