Could the Sox have planted the Rienzo tweet to make teams think a deal is imminent as a leverage tool? That would be dirty, but fun.

 

Well, I guess he could replace Crain the bullpen if Peavy doesn't move.

Apparently, Cliff Lee is available, price? 3 TOP prospects and the remaining $70M.

That's what I'm thinking too. If they don't make a deal by tomorrow afternoon, they can always say they're pushing the rotation back a day to give everyone rest.
