Somebody on Twitter is saying Sox scouts are watching the Portland Seadogs game today. Ranaudo on the mound. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?g...ox&sid=milb Edited July 24, 201312 yr by flavum
July 24, 201312 yr Scouts there to probably see both Ranaudo and Cecchini today for a potential Peavy trade.

July 25, 201312 yr QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 07:54 PM) Entering today, Micah has a 1.1 BB% in A+ compared to 11% in A- Yeah, his numbers are notably down in High-A. He's not walking (though he did walk today) and he's not hitting for much power (though he has 4 XBH in his last 6 games).
July 25, 201312 yr QUOTE (danman31 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 01:30 AM) Yeah, his numbers are notably down in High-A. He's not walking (though he did walk today) and he's not hitting for much power (though he has 4 XBH in his last 6 games). He did homer, but that won't count until that game is finished after it was suspended.

July 25, 201312 yr QUOTE (OilCan @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 09:08 PM) Semien is hitting himself to a promotion. .309/.460/.603/1.063 splits for July. Also, 19 walks and 8 strikeouts for July?!? Are we sure he's a White Sox prospect?? But, everybody rates Hawkins waaay above Semien. I don't get it. If Hawkins had those numbers.......
July 25, 201312 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 09:25 PM) Nestor Molina still doing what he does best...giving up hits What in the heck has happened to Nestor Molina?!?

July 25, 201312 yr QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 10:22 PM) But, everybody rates Hawkins waaay above Semien. I don't get it. If Hawkins had those numbers....... If our highest ceiling'd player had the best numbers in our system, obviously people would be more excited.
July 25, 201312 yr QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 09:22 PM) But, everybody rates Hawkins waaay above Semien. I don't get it. If Hawkins had those numbers....... Give it a little while. It's going to be hard to rate Hawkins at all if he doesn't improve soon.
July 25, 201312 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 09:54 PM) 3-4, 2 doubles and a triple for Semien They should bring him up and send Tolleson to the bench. Sanchez and Semien at second and third
July 25, 201312 yr Semien is Dat Dude right now. If Alexei does get moved you think we see him or Tyler Greene?
July 25, 201312 yr QUOTE (daggins @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 09:57 PM) Semien is Dat Dude right now. If Alexei does get moved you think we see him or Tyler Greene? F Greene, give a young guy a chance for the rest of the season, maybe they will run away with it.
July 25, 201312 yr QUOTE (daggins @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 02:57 AM) Semien is Dat Dude right now. If Alexei does get moved you think we see him or Tyler Greene? Option C, Carlos Sanchez or Option D, Gordon Beckham
July 25, 201312 yr I would also like to point out Semien is the type of guy who improves a lot every season. This guy wasn't even on the radar two years ago. His improvement in plate discipline and pitch recognition this season is pretty much incredible. However, he still hasn't hit over .280 in a season yet, and it probably won't translate into anything more than a .250 hitter in the majors. He's still 22, so I wouldn't rush him to the majors just yet. I would let him stay in the minors for another half a year or so, and hope he can improve his hitting next year. If he's still raking like this next season, I would call him up around June or July.
July 25, 201312 yr QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 11:08 PM) Walk off homer in extras for Keenyn Walker. Who?
