Wasn't his left leg dragging across the plate too?

I don't think it dragged to actually touch the plate.

At least we know that the one thing that trumps Hawk's homerism is his crush on AJ.

If an ump is going to make that call, a lot of catchers are going to be suffering hyper extensions of their knees.

AJ's foot might not have blocked him all the way, that's the one thing I'm less sure about. Alexei might very well have clipped a portion of it with that lead foot.

It's tough to tell , if Robin threw his flag you'd go with inconclusive. The only way Alexei scores is aiming that lead foot to the middle of the plate hoping to knock Aj's foot out of the way instead of going around it.

Would've been nice to get a run on Darvish , we won't get too many chances like that.

If Alexei'd been able to drag his back foot he'd have been safe also, the ump probably had a good view of that one from where he was.

Clearly clean. Not even close.

Still no proof that he ever touched the plate.

What's clean and not close ?

Lost in all this is Hector is pitching very good once again. I love our starting pitchers.

But I don't think you can make that call based on a presumption that neither of his feet touched the plate there. If that's going to be the standard on a play like that, you're going to need more umpires or more cameras.

Started off a bit rocky, then cranked down and got a rhythm after about the 3rd inning. 9 in a row retired before that bloop by AJ.

You're welcome Texas.

Now I hate Alex Rios.

Nice to see Flowers calling for an inside fastball to Rios. What a dumb pitch.

His name is Rios and he dances on... oh wait.

Was about to type they're squaring Darvish up this inning with nothig to show for it. Nice to see a Dunn Oppobomb !

Who says Dunn doesn't hit in high pressure situations? /semi-sarcasm

gregs 2 favorite hitters doin yard work today.

Real impressive performance by Hector given the small zone he had to deal with.

I like the quick hook by Robin

Nice job Lindstrom

Will DV ever turn the corner.

Dadgumit is right
