April 9, 201412 yr Wow, he's gonna take a beating on this one. From the comments section on Hardball Talk: “Multiple exclamation marks are a sure sign of a diseased mind.” Terry Pratchett http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/04/...iced-this-year/ I'd like to add people who whistle when nobody else is around to the indicators of mental illness. Hope that ain't the case with Frank.
April 9, 201412 yr Author I thought old age would tame the beast. And really? Complaining about home runs in Colorado?
April 9, 201412 yr QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 9, 2014 -> 09:28 AM) Frank's ego was always his biggest flaw
April 9, 201412 yr He is really strange about players he likes and dislikes when compared to himself. He was Carlos Quentins biggest fan, thought he would be a prolific HR hitter.

April 9, 201412 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 9, 2014 -> 09:39 AM) Frank being Frank. Yup. He was everyone's favorite player because of his skill on the field, not his personality off of it.

April 9, 201412 yr QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 9, 2014 -> 08:28 AM) Frank's ego was always his biggest flaw I'm guessing he took some sage advice in keeping his mouth shut during the HOF voting.
April 9, 201412 yr Frank has every right to have a ton of pride in himself. And to feel a chip on his shoulder from being robbed of a few things. That ego getting out of hand from time to time is him being human, nothing more than that. Edited April 9, 201412 yr by Jose Paniagua
April 9, 201412 yr QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Apr 9, 2014 -> 10:43 AM) Frank has every right to have a ton of pride in himself. And to feel a chip on his shoulder from being robbed of a few things. That ego getting out of hand from time to time is him being human, nothing more than that. At times, I am not sure if it is ego, or massive insecurity.
April 9, 201412 yr QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Apr 9, 2014 -> 10:57 AM) How is his beer? Very strong
April 9, 201412 yr QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 9, 2014 -> 10:51 AM) At times, I am not sure if it is ego, or massive insecurity. Two sides of the same coin.
April 10, 201412 yr Buehrle implies Maddux has cheated his whole career and this board probably stands up in applause. Frank says this, an offhanded comment, and here it's "whoops he's getting out of line again" DBL STANDARD Edited April 10, 201412 yr by Jose Paniagua

Frank says this, an offhanded comment, and here it's "whoops he's getting out of line again" DBL STANDARD Its not like the Rockies have ever been accused of using a humidor to doctor balls before though.
April 10, 201412 yr Author QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Apr 10, 2014 -> 03:27 PM) Buehrle implies Maddux has cheated his whole career and this board probably stands up in applause. Frank says this, an offhanded comment, and here it's "whoops he's getting out of line again" DBL STANDARD I think what surprised me about this is him commenting on the White Sox with this stuff. Since Abreu was compared to him he has tweeted a bunch of childish stuff like this. I have no doubt he wrote this because of Abreu's 2 HRs.
April 10, 201412 yr No wonder atheletes stick to cliches. Anything slightly controversial or out of the ordinary and the guy takes a beating.
