And that's a Wite Sox Winner

Abreu early . Tank late. f*** the Indians just like that.

Stick that up your Kottarass, Cleveland!

Wite did nothing to deserve praise

I love the change in approach by about half of the Sox line up towards that pitch on the outer half this year. Last year, Dayan either swings and misses, or hooks it on the ground to SS for a game ending DP.

Very true, I stand corrected. All hail Wite!

Now...will Jordan Danks be on the plane back to Chicago?

Edited by flavum

Seems like we had about five total wins or less like that all last season.

Amazing to win the game when we had 7 K's in a row against Kluber, only 4 hits, and double figures in the game overall.

Great job by the bullpen today, a bit shaky at the end, as usual. Tyler, you've got to do a better job in the 9th. That would have been a killer if Cabrera ended up tying the game after that type of dramatic, quick strike comeback.

First time in history that a new Indian has gone deep in his first two at-bats.

Sorry Jordan, your bags were routed to Charlotte. Don't know how that happened. You better go get them

The Sox have seen their starting 2B, 3B, RF, CF, #1, #2, and #4 starters, plus their top set up man already spend time on the DL this year.

Looking at sierra's stats from last year, he wasn't bad. I recall him having a good spring too. Maybe turns out to be a nice pickup

Hope so. Supposedly, he's a butcher in the outfield.

You could even argue that Jones was going to be their closer coming into the spring.

It should READ losing the 5 starter to non-performance/injury in Paulino and their 4 starter in Erik Johnson. Not really fair to call EJ or Paulino their legit #2, that would HAVE to be Quintana.

Then you can add Keppinger in there as well, not that anything much was expected out of him in 2014.

That's great . Can't help but think if only they had been there before everyone got injured and we were hitting the snot out of the ball. But the bullpen had its injuries, visa problems , and the death of Webb's mom during spring training so I can see why they got off to a terrible start. They just didn't get the innings under their belts.

DeAza's not hitting over .200 either.

As far as the game, wow, the bullpen was good. Crucial homer by Viciedo. That would have been a sorry, depressing sweep. Big home run to salvage one game. And we got the save as well. Lindstrom could have given it right back. That's what would have happened last year.

Rienzo nothing special today, but it seems his worst starts have at least half a chance whereas Paulino's worst starts are uncontrollable feces bombs

I wonder if Dunn starts in left at Wrigley. Can't be worse than Jordan Danks, who hits like his brother.

I think they have no choice.

With the lead in the late innings, you go for the lesser of two evils with Dunn/Viciedo being swapped out for Danks.

If he's a butcher, who is our late inning defensive replacement for Tank?

Sierra. Theoretically.
